Alhambra Municipal Golf Course
About
Alhambra Golf Course has a player-friendly design that is ideal for beginners but also great for more experienced players who are looking for a quick but fun round. The layout is a shorter par-71 design at 5,478 yards. It may not be long but it offers plenty of other challenges. There is plenty of variety between the two vastly different nines. The front nine holes are fairly flat, parkland holes with generous fairways lined with trees. The beginning holes provide a good warm-up for Alhambra Golf Course's more difficult back nine where you'll have to use every club in your bag. The back sprawls across rolling terrain, incorporating elevation changes ranging from subtle to dramatic. There are also more strategically placed bunkers on the back nine. Alhambra's 16th is the signature hole. This tricky par 5 begins with an intimidating tee shot over water in order to reach the fairway.

Hole 6 green. So many trees that line the fairways at this course. Photo submitted by u018507495 on 06/24/2025

Golfer Reviews
course worth the trip
Course, considering all the rain wee've had, was in really good shape.
I still wish somehow the golfers would fix their darn divots on the greens
Can we address this at all?
Fairways in really good shape..as are the teeboxes.
Staff very nice, especially Vicky in the bar/grill area!
Beginner’s Munii
This is a course where you learn to play. If you have an established handicap and you play often, you’ll be very frustrated with the lack of maintenance. NO ONE fixes their divots on the greens, there are guys who drive onto the T box: not next to it , not on the path next to the T box, but ON THE T BOX. If I say something, I would likely get into a fight. Why the golf course, doesn’t enforce this is beyond me! It can be a great little course, but there’s no golf etiquette. NONE. Its sad. I won’t come back. I won’t recommend this place unless you just don’t care about your golf course and experience.
Hi pxnmd, thank you for providing feedback on your experience. We understand the frustration regarding maintenance and golf etiquette. We appreciate your input and will work towards improving these areas. We hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future. Thank you.
Great little course
Great little course, good condition. Traps could use some sand. Awesome practice amenities!
Hi humanicus16, thank you for your positive review! We appreciate your feedback about the traps and will definitely take that into consideration. We're glad you enjoyed the course and our practice amenities. We hope to see you again soon!
Golfday
Not a course for beginning golfers!!! Even the yellow tee boxes require a player to be able to hit 7 out of 10 shots within a 40-yard fairway’s lined with some overhanging tree limbs. This course will play best for the lower HCP golfers (2-15). The 16-25 will find themselves having to play their best B+ game to break 100 if 1st time players!! Ladies and Senior’s will enjoy the challenge from the most forward tees.
Hi u000003957584, thank you for your feedback on our golf course. We appreciate your insight on the level of difficulty and who may find it most enjoyable. We strive to provide a challenging experience for all skill levels. We hope you had a great time and look forward to seeing you again soon!
