Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

Great course but the pace of play didn't allow us to finish with a 2:00pm tee time

This was a golf trip with brother in laws and nephew. The weather was perfect! The course was just coming out of overseeing however was in very good condition. Cart path only made the round long and the walking steps high (not that that is a bad thing). The views on this course are phenomenal and the on course as well as off course personnel were fun and helpful. Definitely a course we would come back to!!

Arrived to the course early this morning ready to go. Drove over 40 minutes just to come to find out that the golf course is closed until Oct 31st, 2022 for over-seeding. There was no one to speak to in the club house since they were closed. Per the reservation I had to pay in full up front for the tee time. I am looking for a full refund, the course was closed, our morning was wasted and unfortunately my brother flew in to visit from New York so we can golf and he had to be inconvenienced as well.

And now on top of it all there is no way to contact GolfNow so I can get a refund on their mistake. Was quick and easy for them to take my money through the app but no where on the site can I talk to someone, have a phone number to call or email address to contact to get my refund.

Spectacular look and feel along with tremendous views .the staff are are excellent and if you are playing here make sure to visit the Vic bar afterwards.

The course was beautiful and challenging but the pace of play was unbearable slow. It took us 2hr 45mins to play 9 holes as a twosome….. the course martial said their was a “mini-tournament” taking place ahead of us which was slowing down the pace of play….. it was already cart part only which was slowing things down, so to allow for an unsanctioned tournament was just ridiculous…. We left at the turn.

The address listed on golf now also isn’t accurate and the course does not show up on Apple Maps.

Outside staff was friendly and great. Course was in decent shape. We enjoyed our round and will be back.

Great playing today. Final 3 holes are my favorites.

Tumbleweeds are weeds, a plant out of place. Time is taken to make great fairway and greens with no effort to remove these weeds.

The Victory Course is always fun to play at Verrado, the conditions were good, they are getting ready to start overseeding, so stuff was starting to brown out, but that's pretty standard this time of year for a decent course, I'd recommend playing here or the Founders course if you haven't played either of them yet, worth the drive down.

One of the best layouts in town. Greens were nice and smooth and rolled great. They didn't look great because someone doesn't know how to mow the grass properly but they rolled nice. For the end of the summer in Phoenix they were great.

Tees were fluffy. Need to be mowed down, Same with fairways. Ball was backing up on the drives. Bunkers were great except for one i was in on 14. Lots of large rocks in a green side bunker.

I understand the desire for players to buy beverages and snacks from the course facilities, but we didn't see the beverage cart till the 16th hole. The ice in the cooler was not to be ingested, and there were no ice machines/chests on the course. It was 107 degrees and I was surprised that they didn't appear to be concerned about their customers.

A map of the course (each hole) would have been very helpful for any first time player such as my wife and I.

Excellent course layout, great conditions, super friendly staff. Not as built up as the Founders Course but every bit as fun. Verrado has two excellent courses.

We chose to play the Founders course instead of the Victory course due to scheduling. This is our second time playing the Founders course and it is becoming one of my favorites in AZ . The course is very well maintained, the bunkers are trimmed and raked , the fairways are multi level cut to insure more difficulty in play and the greens are some of the best I have seen in AZ this year . What a nice course , we look forward to playing it again .
