Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

We played on a day after a little rain the night before, and the course was cart path only. We felt that was unnecessary because we encountered almost zero water logged areas. It lengthened the playing time and slowed the pace considerably since you had to walk out to your ball and back every shot and often the cart path was the opposite side of the fairway where you wanted to be. That said, this is a beautiful course and fun to play. The greens were super fast but in great condition.

We had a very windy day which impacted play, even putting. The greens are super fast. The desert creeps in along the fairway so hit them straight. Nice course.

Course layout is fantastic. Only complaint were the pin locations the day we played. I’m thinking the greenskeeper must have been having a bad week. Way too many pin locations were at the edge of severe drop-offs on the greens. If you were short the ball was coming right back at you or if you were slightly long, the ball would roll 30 feet past the hole. Pins were never in the middle of a flat area. My suggestion would be to save those pin locations for tournaments…not every day play when players are trying to enjoy themselves.

Love the course, there was a AGA tournament stat started just after our time, Jim the starter reminded us 10 time that there was a tournament behind us and how we HAD to keep up the pace, him watching us tee off on the first hole that was very annoying. We played in less than 4 hours and didn’t see anyone behind us the entire round. You don’t go past the clubhouse after 9 and saw the beverage cart while on the practise green and not again till the 14th and she knew better than the starter about the pace of the tournament play. Really like the course but this time wasn’t the best experience.

This is a wonderful course. It is a bit pricey but we got the after 1:00 pm rate so it was excellent pricing!! If you are playing this course for the first time, without someone who has played it before, beware, there is plenty of trouble waiting for you, especially on the back 9. There are lots of rocks, boulders and outcrops on Victory, but they add to the fun and challenge. The 18th hole is one of the most incredible you will see. Greens were very true and surprisingly fast for having been overseeded. When we are down in Phoenix, we will always play this course.

Put some sand in the traps . It's really ridiculous.

The traps weren't in the best shape ( not enough sand in them) if there was it would be 5 star experience without a doubt. So put sand in the traps please.

Loved the layout. Good conditions overall. Biggest downside was 5 hour round with no marshalls to try and speed up play

Great course but the pace of play didn't allow us to finish with a 2:00pm tee time

This was a golf trip with brother in laws and nephew. The weather was perfect! The course was just coming out of overseeing however was in very good condition. Cart path only made the round long and the walking steps high (not that that is a bad thing). The views on this course are phenomenal and the on course as well as off course personnel were fun and helpful. Definitely a course we would come back to!!

Arrived to the course early this morning ready to go. Drove over 40 minutes just to come to find out that the golf course is closed until Oct 31st, 2022 for over-seeding. There was no one to speak to in the club house since they were closed. Per the reservation I had to pay in full up front for the tee time. I am looking for a full refund, the course was closed, our morning was wasted and unfortunately my brother flew in to visit from New York so we can golf and he had to be inconvenienced as well.

And now on top of it all there is no way to contact GolfNow so I can get a refund on their mistake. Was quick and easy for them to take my money through the app but no where on the site can I talk to someone, have a phone number to call or email address to contact to get my refund.

Spectacular look and feel along with tremendous views .the staff are are excellent and if you are playing here make sure to visit the Vic bar afterwards.
