Verrado Golf Club - Victory Course

This course is gorgeous. The views are equally as amazing. Plenty of tee boxes or combos to challenege golfers of all levels. Smooth, fast, and true greens. The bunkers have REAL sand, not just dirt piles. Wide enough fairways off the tee to be forgiving, but you have to be accurate! Plenty of rocky, desert hazards to contend, but it’s a true risk/reward type of course. So much fun to play!

Though the course is in wonderful shape, the pace of play was horrible. The pin placements were the worst I’ve ever played. Very difficult to make. Seemed to be at the worst place on the green. Also placed at some very hard locations. Please remember you have amateur players , playing in very windy conditions. The pace was horrible waiting on every tee. Hate playing golf like this.

On another note we saw the beverage cart but once on the back nine and that was on seventeen. It was very hot that day.

Great course, Got spoiled after it was built because of quiet setting. Not so now with major construction everywhere on the course.

Course was in great condition when we played. It is a challenging layout but fair. It was difficult to know where to hit the ball on many holes off the tee but will be easier the next time around. Pace of play was a bit slow.

Great place to play....if you can put up with some construction going on around the course (leads to some long/dusty drives from green to tee...then come play here!!!!

Views on the course are amazing....from the 18th tee box is one of the most spectacular!

Staff is friendly and the rangers are out to keep things movin.

Have a drink on the patio when done....one of the best views post round in the area!!!

Front 9 is a bit gimmicky. Exceptionally long drives from green to the next tee box and much of it is through rock and desert. Very rough. Front 9 has a long way to go to be presentable. Lots of construction, dirt and rocks etc.

The back 9 was much better design and much more presentable, not as gimmicky. Glad it only cost $50, would not pay any more than that.

The front 9 is an active construction zone. Dust. Noise. Wasps.

The back 9 is fantastic as it's always been.

For 9 holes it's overpriced. Go elsewhere until they're done or price it appropriately.

A friend of mine had a hole in one and there was no recognition by the clubhouse. Very disappointing.

Try to get out to play the courses at Verrado a couple of times each winter we are in AZ. Victory is a fun course that is playable for golfer of all skill levels. The forward tees are set up to minimize forced carries. My wife always enjoys the course because of this. Course condition was good. Greens are quite firm, but will hold a shot. Some of the cups on the greens were somewhat ragged. Lots of construction for homes going on, so several cart paths are gravel and rough. This is not a course for walkers.

Much more challenging than most retirement community courses. Course in great shape. The only problem is all the construction because of building homes therefore 3/4 of the course no cart path just rocks and gravel and this course covers allot of ground. Not a walking course.

Course is nice, challenging, and with great scenery. However they charged us $15 more than the rate I booked at GolfNow and then said that their rate was right and didn’t want to change it.
