DeBell Golf Club in Burbank offers an 18-hole Regulation Course and a nine-hole disc golf course. The Regulation Course has a tight layout with narrow fairways and a variety of elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Accuracy is the key to doing well on this golf course but it's not overly punishing. Its risk-reward holes will appeal to low and high handicappers alike. The front nine is fairly challenging but the back nine is where the golf course gets tough. Although DeBell Golf Club is short, only 5,608 yards from the back tees, the blind shots and winding doglegs make it seem much longer than it is. There isn't any water on the golf course but you'll hardly miss its presence with all the other hazards that lurk throughout.

Poor Course that think its a Private Club

This course has a horrible pace of play, also staff doesn't keep good track if Golfnow tee time and the last 4 times we've played here we end up teeing off 30+ minutes late.

Just a course that thinks they are a private course when they aren't. No marshalls, no cart girl.

Overall just spend your money elsewhere, not worth the time. Will always be a 5.5+ hour round.

Complete Game Required Tee to Green

Drove up from N. San Diego and first time playing this track. Started with a cocktail, clubhouse and restaurant looked very nice and clean. The course is scenic when you're looking around, not paying attention to golf. I like how it's tucked away in the foothills.

Actual course is a bit 'rough' around the edges (branches, debris, uneven spots) but my fault for being in those areas. Sometimes challenging to drive since no smooth cart paths (dirt/gravel) and would definitely be a challenge to walk since there's a good amount of elevation. Fairways and green complexes were good. This is a fairly narrow shot-makers course and are rewarded for good course management. Played Blue tee's, Mid-irons off the tee were common to accommodate many dog-leg holes. I actually skipped hole 7...didn't know it was there and had to cross the street haha.

I actually enjoyed the experience and would play it again, but I could see how the pace would drive others nuts.

Never again!!!

Pace of play was slow. Staff was too busy to recommend tee box to play or inform us where #1 tee box was.

The course is in terrible shape. Small rocks in all the sand traps( more like desert).

Faiways were decent at best.

The best part of the round was the cold beer i had before the round.

Not enough parking for guests. I had to park up the road.

Never again!!!

Great course, bit crowded.

Second time playing at this course. The layout is good and we'll taken care of. I wish to play more often but it gets crowded and a round takes longer than it should.

Fair Canyons

I've played some Canyon courses that are just he[ll]. But this one seemed to be able to maintain wide fairways, flat (and uphill) lies, and remained friendly through all 18 holes. Folks at the clubhouse were friendly and helpful.

The pace of play is way slow.

I had two times playing at this course and had same experience of way slow pace of play. The whole round took about 6 hours which is hard to be acceptable. Is the courser overbooked at weekends?

Great Round

If you have never played this course, it can be a challenge, as you do not need a driver on every hole. Some, you do not even need a fairway wood from the tee.

The greens are in great shape, and everything else is just as you’d expect from this course.

Most Over rated course i have ever played!!! Beware not 4 star!!!

I went looking for a new course to try and like to play the nicer courses so i looked for a 4 star or higher rated course. After seeing the 4 star rating and knowing the 3 1/4 star rating of my home course Santa Anita in Arcadia I was excited to try a great new high end course. OMG what a terrible shock when I saw and started playing this very average or below average course my day was ruined. The tee boxes are fair...the greens are fair but nothing special but OMG the fairways are so poor in many places. It was a terrible disappointment to see fairways in such a state of disrepair in so many places hole after hole. The score card layout is tiny and hard to read and almost all holes are dogleg's with no ability to see the pin so a clean clear layout on the scorecard is necessary to play effectively at all. There is no layout board at the holes so you are left guessing on distances and angles. This is at best a 2 1/2 star course and is also by the way 100% up and down steep grades for most holes so bring your workout clothes. Overall I warn you DO NOT EXPECT A 4 STAR PLAYING EXPERIENCE from this not worth the drive very average course.

The course is challenging, the fairways are narrow and you have to hit your spots. Front nine works on your short game and the back works on the long ball.

Too slow!!

Pace of play has become a big issue even on weekdays,,They have a lot of regulars who go out and act like they own the course , hit bad tee shots and will keep hitting til there in the fairway ,, hold conversations about last hole while they can clearly see groups waiting and don’t care , they won’t let singles and twosomes play through unless you plead with them .A lot of this is because there is no marshal and management doesn’t care ..

Good challenge

First time at this course. It was very hilly, so glad I got a cart. Many up and down holes with some blind shots. The greens had been punched and sanded week before , so tough to putt a true putt.

Would definitely play again.

This course has bad time management

Sending 3 groups to the tee box at once.

NO TIME MANAGEMENT WHAT SO EVER.

One thing I did not appreciate is they said it’s because you booked through GolfNow and their times don’t match up to our times and it’s overbooking. Well who manages that? Clearly they failing. Very poor management.

It took an hour and 15 min to play 2 holes. I use to play the course every Sunday with some fellas and never had that issue. Course can be amazing and tricky but fun if someone can handle scheduling times which is no that hard. Does not take a genius.

They did return our money and we left after the 2 holes.
