El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek

About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Relaxing round of 18
We played Chino Creek mid-week and everything went well. Greens were in good conditions, as were the fairway and tee boxes. Some of the trash bins and ball washers to start each hole could use some work, but no biggie. Carts are older ,but still worked fine. Saw the Marshall out and about a few times, about as many times as we saw the cart lady. The constant sounds of gunshots was a bit weird at first, but that's not the courses fault and you eventually forget about them. Overall, we'd play again.
Hit the Jackpot
wow what a great twilight golf round. The weather was perfect. The course is getting better and better. New Carts and now repaving the parking lot and adding LED lights. oh Stop. Can't wait to go back next week.
Pace of play
Tee times are 9 mins apart but nobody to keep track of I had a tee time at 12:31 and didn’t start until almost 12:50. Then the group was not playing ready golf so I was waiting 10 mins each hole. Took me almost 5 hours to finish 18 holes
Course in good shape
The course was in good condition. Fairways are nicely filled in with only minimal bare spots.
Greens are smooth and roll true. Bunkers have a tail sand. The rough is juicy- but playable.
Nice variety of holes.
Each hole was different on the Chino Creek Course which made it fun to play. Will play there again.
