About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Nice day on the course. Rough was a little bit longer than in the past, making it tough to hit out of and finding your ball if not in the fairway.
Course bad, Staff great
Arrived, the Proshop staff very friendly. Gave us our carts prior to Teetime very friendly. Waited until the Collegiate Players teed-off. moment later we hit Hole# 1 at Chino Creek. Apparently caught up with the Collegiate players and from then...VERY SLOW pace. Students were walking taking their time. Playing and joking among themselves. Teachers/Coach were not very considerate about their pace as if they own the golf course. At one hole, it took almost 45 minutes for the group to finish. Also, the course was just mowed and still too thick. Golf balls just disappeared due to thick grass. The greens were not well maintained. Balls bouncing during putts. Lost many balls. No discipline on the Collegiate players.
Late day practice
Got on late afternoon for $12 from golf now.What a great value will definitely do it again.

Course is looking gorgeous after all the rain.
The course is starting to look very very nice. They were finally able to be the mowers in the rough and start thinning things out. The fairways are nicely defined and in good shape.

Need improvement on course
Grass to long. Need more care on the Fairway. Rough was too long one you miss the Fairway it was really difficult to find it. 😕

Really Wet with Long long Grass
We played early at 6:24 AM so the pace was great. The tees boxes are way up since they haven’t kept up with the mowing cause of all the rains. It’s very easy to loose a ball unless on the short grass. The greens were plush. We finished in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

Very Slow with No Marshall
We played as a foursome and the conditions are very rough. They haven’t mowed in over a week. The group ahead of us thought they were pros. It took 3 hours to play the front nine. The back nine was two hours up to 14. We quit cause we couldn’t take it anymore waiting 10-20 minutes on every hole. Do not play here on the weekend!

Punched Greens and Heavy Rough
I wish there was a sign or display letting the golfer know that the greens are punched before they book. Also, the rough was really thick and heavy. Any ball outside of the fairway was lost.

Course not ready for play
Due to rains, overgrown grass on fairways and third cut. Shounot be charging full price under these conditions
