About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Truly don’t like leaving bad reviews, I normally just go away and don’t return. I’ve played this course several times and always given it a good score. The course isn’t in bad shape for mid - summer condition. Although how it’s managed, it has now hit Goat-Ranch status.
Great weekday round
Played Chino Creek on a Tuesday afternoon. Was paired with a twosome and we had a fun round. No waiting at all. The fairways and bunkers were in so-so shape but the greens were good overall and filled rolled true. Chino Creek is a nice layout and a good value.

Worst customer service
This course has the worst customer service ever. They put the rules first of a course that’s failing .. and doesn’t seem to be booked up at all. I have played in the inland empire for 25 years used to love this course. NOT ANYMORE !!
Look where I come from the CUSTOMER is always right. Even when they are not.
It seems like they think word doesn’t spread around or nobody will write a review. Which I’m sure they do not care about.
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER !!!!!!
It’s funny how before COVID the courses would NEVER. Give a single rider a cart. They would force you to play with a stranger and sit in the cart for 4 -5 hours with a person you just met.
Since the COVID it was mandatory. But I’m sure this place was not following the rules. They have OLDEST cart fleet in area so I’m sure they were still forcing people to ride together.

Need a Marshall on Weekend
We played as a twosome. We were going along fine in the front nine. It was about 2 hours. Then we ran into a 6 some. Why do you send out a 6 some?
There was NO MARSHALL as usual. Please do not send out 6 somes!! We left Chino Creek to go to Butterfield and it was also busy. AGAIN no Marshall.

Mandatory 2 persons per cart
They used to allow single players to have their own cart. On Jun 17th when I check in, I am forced to share a cart with a stranger unless I pay $14 extra to have my own cart. I argued with them but they told me this new rule took effect 2 days ago. I booked my T-time 7 days ahead and they should have announced this rule change at least 1 week before or mentioned it during online booking.
Will not recommend if you don't want to share a cart with a total stranger during this COVID sensitive time.

Horribly sandy fairways, good for deals
Poorly maintained fairway has dirt everywhere, cheap price with golf now discount 24 bucks or not worth normal rate

Very luck to play on the course without a lot of players, due to the hot weather. We four were able to finish in three and a half hours.
