El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Golfer Reviews
Best golf course for the money
This is my 3rd time playing at El Prado Chino Creek, overall very satisfy with staffs, course condition, and layout.
Greens Have Been Aerated
The pace of play was great. We were the first ones out and we missed most of the rain. It rained for the last 3 holes. The tee boxes are better since there was no play for a week. The greens had the big punched holes with sand filled, so it was an automatic two putt. There should have been a discount since this was so freshly done. The fairways were in better shape than they had been the last 2 months,

El Prado Chino Creek
The fairways were in good shape, but the greens had been recently sanded and aerated. This made consistent / predictable putting virtually impossible. The cart that the other twosome had died at the second hole. Ours ran out of juice at the seventh and barely made it to the ninth.

Course closed, played on Butterfield
Course was in pretty good condition, considering we have had a lot of rain with a threat of rain during our play...we played on Butterfield because Chino Creek was closed.
Great Service
Preston at the tee box was very professional and helpful. Had an issue and he resolved it asap. Course is great for the price.
Two decent courses
Played the chino course. Was decent. Greens needed to be cut but overall are decent.

Nice place for relaxing round of golf
El Prado Chino Creek course is a nice traditional design which flows with the terrain and is fairly wide open but still has a number of challenging and/or interesting holes. Course is a bit rough around the edges but the greens are pretty decent and the main fairway areas have reasonable coverage. Staff is friendly and course does a good job with COVID procedures in the use of the carts and in the clubhouse area. Green fees are very reasonable particularly for early afternoon starting times.

Chino Hills course
I played the Chino Hills course. Nice wide fairways for a 25 handicap was appreciated.. Layup distances to water hazards were perfect for me, never less than 230 yds. Overall, a really pleasant course and would have been ideal if the gun range firings nearby weren’t so loud! However, I would play this course again. Nice atmosphere and staff at El Prado!
