El Prado Golf Courses - Chino Creek
About
El Prado Golf Course in Chino offers two 18-hole courses, Chino creek and Butterfield Stage. Chino Creek is the longer of the two at 6,858 yards from the back tees. It is also considered more challenging but both are player friendly enough to appeal to all skill levels. As its name would imply, the Chino Creek runs along the entire length of the golf course. You find water in several different forms throughout the course including lakes and meandering streams. The layout is spread across rolling terrain with elevation changes that range from subtle to dramatic. Several of the holes begin from elevated tees and it's likely you'll face more than one uphill battle. Trees and bunkers also come into play but the fairways are wide and forgiving. It's not an overly difficult golf course but beginners can also try the shorter and less challenging Butterfield Stage Course.

Course is in pretty good shape...greens still "bumpy" from aeration last month.
Many duffers today and considering that, for the most part, the pace was not too bad....good weather

Better than nothing.
Consistent conditions. Never better and never worse. Moves pretty well.

Good course, good foursome, lousy personal scorescore
Course was quite crowded, but pace was pretty good until it became backed. Up on the 17th. We ,(my partner and I) left, due to upcoming darkness..
Overall OK
pickings are a little slim these days but was able to get a 7:40am tee time. Surprisingly the pace of play was A+ (finished in 4 hrs) so kudos to the starter. A bit pricy at $56 for this course but to finish in 4 hrs I would pay that price again.
Neglect
Course could use some love, water, tree trimming and new cart paths. Greens are are decent.

Punched Greens
Seems like the greens were punched a little late, played here on the 13th of December and greens were still very bumpy. Fairways were in really bad shape but that’s understandable mid December.

Fun Day!!
We were the first ones out. The course was wide open.
The day was really cold. The conditions were good.
The greens were great. It was fast round, 2 hours and 15 minutes.
Very disappointed in the Conditions
Conditions were very poor. Fairways were dry and spotty. Greens were horrible. Bumpy and did not roll true. Even though they must have aero rated a month ago, they greens should roll smoother and truer by now. It’s was a dog track. GolfNow should have put up an Alert about the conditions. But no warning. At least I did not see one.

Poor conditions
Many fairways consisted of dirt and weeds as much as thin grass cover. Same for the rough. Bunkers were raked but wet. Greens were very slow and bumpy. Several forced carries, water and OB in play on several holes. Might have been acceptable if conditions were good. I played Butterfield earlier this year and conditions were the same. Better options nearby such as Goose Creek. I won’t play here again.

Just ok
Fairways are not in good shape. Greens are ok but not great. Seems overpriced for the condition.
Not enough balls for the driving range so there were open spots but - list of 10 people waiting for range balls? What??
