About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Good value, nice course
Course had friendly staff, check in is organized. Carts are old and some don’t run well. Was told they are getting new carts soon. Great challenging layout, fairways are a little dry, most greens are in good shape, recently aerated, a couple greens seem to have disease in grass. Overall, good value and fun day on course. Pace was okay, Most groups moved at normal pace, one group was a a little slow. 18 holes in about 4 1/2 hours.
Full price punched greens
Didn’t find out till the first hole the greens were punched. Still charged full price and never was disclosed on GolfNow or checking in. What a crock of crap
Poorest condition course I have played
Heard some great things about this course but they were definitely outdated recommendations. Very disappointing facility to say the least. All of the carts had torn seats and were overall bad condition. They have had some serious watering issues and the entire course was hard as a rock. Greens were aerated and rock hard, causing putts to be unpredictable. Bunkers were also hard as rock and you couldn't even get a club under a ball. Fairways were horrible and bumpy. Ruts, holes, dips, etc. Felt like our cart was going to fall apart while driving on the fairways.
The driving range was filthy and hadn't been looked after in months. Only two range ball buckets available. No yardage markers and only hard packed dirt. Range is so short, the majority of the the driver shots went over the back net.
The staff was friendly and helpful. The starter we had, Bill, was great and explained the problems with the course.
Would not go back even for a free round of golf. If someone took the time to take care of this course, it would be a nice course. Clearly very little maintenance in the last several months or more.
Friendly staff, good course layout
Easy checkin, friendly staff. Carts are getting old some need repair. Course layout is challenging. Greens were just aerated. Pace was great, just over 4 hours. Overall, had a great time golfing at this course.
Horrible conditions, slow play
Save your money and golf anywhere else. Every part of this course is in horrible shape. They are packing people in and charging way too much money. Super slow, got to the 13th hole after 3 hours, and was 3rd in line to play the hole. Just couldn’t do it, left early.
Punched greens with little or no sand.. Fairways are the roughest I’ve been on.
I like this course but was surprised that we were forced to play the same 9 holes twice. Did not find out the reason for the back nine being closed.
What a DUMP...
It has been a very long time since I have played this course. It used to be good, they have let it go. Total dump... 50% grass / 50% holes and dirt. 25% of the greens have dirt patches. This is probably the worst course conditions I have ever seen, but they charge full weekend prices ($60).
They should just shut down this course or at least cut the price in 1/2 or less and give you a warning.
I won't be playing here again....
Very disappointing
Absolutely the worst condition I've ever had to deal with playing a round of golf. How they can charge more than $20 for a course in this condition is beyond me. Greens had dirt patches, the carts were falling apart, just a terrible experience.
Love to golf- but this course needs work
Fairways were dry and rocky. The roughy was like driving on the moon. No ball washers on the course and no concessions either (except at clubhouse bar).
Overall, this course needs a lot of improvement
The best feature was the the clubhouse and restaurant.
Course Conditions
They need to spend more time taking care of the greens. After having half of the course down greens are in poor condition. Also had the nerve to raise their prices, not good
