Green River Golf Club

Although the greens were punched and sanded they were playable but the reminder of the course is a bit scruffy. Many cart paths are so torn up or damaged we had to ride in rough or avoid them altogether. Fairways were not consistent, my group felt the course was kindve going to seed...most bunkers were dirt only and wet & muddy. Tee boxes were fair but overall felt the course was not in great condition. Probably won’t be back for a while...

Avoid this course

The first green is awful, and continues throughout the course. The fairways are weeds and cut so low you need .to find a lump of grass to hit your ball. Went there to play 18 holes and they said they only have nine holes open due to closure by construction crews along the riverbank. They said you can call Golf Now for a refund if you don’t like it. They said you are prepaid and you can play the nine open holes twice , no rain checks. It would be nice if they would post this on Golf Now. I will not be returning to this course. It is not worth the money. This used to be a nice course but now it is so run down and unkept. The greens are dirt. The fairways are weeds and dirt.

due to nearby bridge construction, the course only open 9 holes. when making reservations, golf now did not warn me that the 18 hole round included same 9 holes played twice.

It was a great deal for $15, only to find out at the course the only open holes were 1-2 and 12-18. That explains why it was so cheap. Anyways, played that twice so all in all still a good day out there.

Love this course, it’s a shame the construction has turned it into a 9 hole course, but it still is a great course to play. The staff have always been so friendly especially Art in the pro shop. Hope they reopen the other 9 holes soon. The course is in fairly good shape.

This is the first time I’ve played here since they combined the two courses. The fairways are sparse in many places and bumpy. The greens are poor. Patchwork repairs. Bare spots. Inconsistent. Pretty sure I won’t go back. Lots of better courses for the same fees.

Course in good condition. Clear effort to continue to maintain and improve the course. Need Marshall’s on the course. What could have been a great day, was made frustrating by a clueless threesome in front of us. There skill was not the issue....there pace and total ignorance of golf etiquette was. Standing on the tee talking, with a clear fairway ahead, horsing around on the green after putting and standing at there carts talking after hitting in the fairway.....really needed a Marshall!

There was a lot of greens on the course that need a lot of attention. Patches of what looked like what is under the greens, exposed dirt. Over all the course is good but over priced for the conditions of greens.

The course condition was better than s month ago. The greens are still patchy and need improvements.

This was my first time playing this course, and it will probably be my last. overall, the course layout is pretty nice. there are a couple different holes with decent elevation changes. However, the greens were in very poor condition. They had large chunks missing that were patched with sand. Also where the greens were patched with sod, the surface was uneven and choppy between the sod squares.

Course offers rural experience and good value. Condition of course needs improvement.

If you like playing off of dirt in the fairways then this is the place for you . 12-18 were nice but that’s about it. Tee boxes and greens were awful.

Green River is usually my go to course for a cheap-ish, quick getaway, but this last time was ROUGH. The course is in horrific shape. Pace was brutal with fivesomes littered all over the course, and the wind (which tends to whip up there quite often in the afternoons) made it even more undesirable. I left after 11 holes and three plus hours. Three temporary greens in the fairway during those first 11 holes, too. They should be paying US to play during this time. Guess I will be playing River View until this course is back in moderately playable conditions.

I played at Green River many many times before. This time the course condition was the worst. Many greens were almost unplayable. And there were several holes using temporary greens in front of the regular ones. The hot deals the course offered were not worthwhile. The course looked if it would be shut down soon.

We were hoping that we could finish the round in an average time but they booked the rounds too close and we finished in just about 5 hours in the dark. Lots of standing around waiting to play. Greens were very poor and not at all smooth. Lots of sand and missing grass so the ball jumped around when putting. Looks like the course needs a lot of work to get it up to good conditions. Lacking some good maintainance.

I have not seen the greens in this poor of shape. How they recover.
