Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Good Course, Questionable staff
The course was in very good condition, the fairways and greens were better than expected for the drought. Our tee time was pushed back almost 30 minutes and the girl in the pro shop was not very smart/friendly/reassuring/welcoming/fast. The food after the 14th was pretty good. Little snacker after 13 is lame and small.
Nice facilities and interesting course
I like the first 12 holes the best which is part of the old River course.
course mantnance
This courese is too noisey from the train road and 91 free way.
Good day for golf
The course was fun to play. The elevations at this course are a fun challenge. They where punching the greens so had to play the front 9 twice.
More TLC
Course was in relatively good shape. Fairways could use to be overseeded. (Lots of clumpy areas in fairways) Greens had a few bad spots. All in all not bad for $18 on a weekday.
Doing everything to improve this course
As a foursome, we have been playing at Green River for a year now. Course management is doing everything to improve the course on a constant basis. Job well done!
Due to the location of the hill at the clubhouse, even on a windy day, of course, less than 15 miles per hour, you could still play. The way trees are, you get quite a relief from wind at this course.
Greens are well maintained, most of the broken cart paths are redone, including a brand-new path with protective fence when you return to clubhouse from 18th hole.
Course is well priced. Hope, they don't increase the price anytime soon. Until the guys are slow ahead, which on any course would be a problem, most of the time, you could finish the 18 holes in 4 hours.
Afternoon, you get to wait for the cart often, as their charging takes longer. Hope management finds a solution for this recurring problem.
Playing on SuperBall day
It was the 2nd time to play. I could not finish last time due to dawn last time. But I could enjoy this time on SuperBall day, I was not crowded. Couse was much maintained.
Fun Course
Fun course for a good price. Can get crowded for that reason. I can actually get a couple pars here. Not too many bunkers. Nice wide fairways. And we saw a coyote enjoying the day!
a nice day out at a good price
this was a 36 hole course that suffered flood damage years ago and due to county budget restraints, carved into 18 holes. That really doesn't come into play, just some background info. Course runs between freeway 91 and small mountain so scenery is nice, I like that all holes aren't fairway to fairway. Fairways are heavily tree lined and very generous. The greens are in good shape, and have some nice undulations, opportunities to run the ball up are good for my high handicap game. A few elevated tees, too. The pace of play was almost slow as we played mid day as a twosome behind a foursome and waited on almost every shot but for the price we paid, about $50 for two, I was happy to wait. Route 91 is loud and busy but again, I didn't mind as the weather was spectacular and my game improved that day. I didn't lose a ball!
Green River Golf Course
Thank god for the rain that we just had because this course played so much better off the fairway and some of the green are excellent but over all its a great course for the values, definitely recommend to others
Very scenic course.
Course was in very good shape. Quick greens, but very accessible pin placements. Love the fact the last two holes are par 5's. makes for a very exciting finish.
Very end of Orange county
Played at Greenriver course many times now.
It gets windy there.. when it gets windy you can drive 300 easy or 150 vert hard..
Price is right specially afternoon tee times..
Because of its convenient location this place gets busy.
when it does just like any other course it can take 4.5+ hours to finish.
no waiting
My first time at Green River in 20 yrs. Course in great shape. Played first 9 solo, played three balls and wore myself out. Quit after 3 holes on the back 9.
Great value great golf course!
Those holes north of the train tracks are quietly set up, it is far from the highway 91 and therefore, extremely noise free inside the valley. The green conditions are great, good maintain and good speed. Some holes are easy some are tough especially from the Blue Tee. Great place to practice some swings.
this course had great layout
Everything with this course is awesome but the pace of play
Course was in very good shape
Course in very good shape, play was a little slow. Good value for the $.
Green River
Course has a lot of noise pollution. Freeway noise and frequent, long cargo trains that run along side a number of the holes create so much noise that it is hard to carry on a conversation. Distances btwn the white tees and the tips are minimal.
Better than I remembered
Tee boxes and fairways are in excellent condition. Pace of play was excellent and all for 15 bucks. I was very satisfied.
