Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Singles
They take reservations for singles but you must share a cart otherwise they want to charge an additional $13. I expected to play with another twosome or three but did not want to have to share a round with a total stranger. I will not play here unless I book it for two.
Good value but.....
Best deal was the hot dog and beer in bar....course needs a lot of work
Good & Bad
The bad was we were not let known until we checked in that we could only play holes 3-11, and then play the same holes again.
The good was that sometimes you wish you could play a hole again, well we were awarded that opportunity!
Will play there again, just wish if course conditions were not what we expect a heads up would be nice.
this course up and down
after 1;00 pm wind pickup and make the course more challenging but tee time is very easy to make
and price is good for the value..
Undergoing cart path improvements.
Great value. I like that they have 5 par 5s and 5 par 3a. The blue tees make it very challenging. Morning play is best. Afternoon play, challenging to find your ball as leaves accumulate through the day. Overall. Good experience and great value.
Not very well maintained
Paid $45.00 for 18 holes. About right. Course is not very well maintained. Probably would not play it again.
graund condition is very good.
I played agust 4th at 2;58 pm
Some grub are 6 plyer, dilay too much!
everthings O K
Thanks
I recommend this course for beginners and ppl who want to have fun
Everyone here is really nice and the players here are laid-back. The course is very spread out, and offers tranquility every hole. The only downside is the frikn train that comes by and blows is horn as if it were a courtesy to us. Obviously the conductor doesn't understand golf is a quiet game. But if you wanna practice golf in windy conditions, this is a PERFECT place. One can become a pro in the wind if they play Green River enough. There are TONS of trees. Pros- its beautiful. CONS- If you lose your ball, plan on looking for it for a good amount of time cuz there are always leaves on the ground.
Course condition
Hard to find your ball because leaves
are everywhere.
For the Price........ But Bring CASH!!!
Any time I can get on a course on a Friday for under $35 is a good day of golf to me. I got my round of golf for $30 at Green River. The staff was very nice and friendly. The course itself was not that good. There is a lot of construction going on in and around the course. The cart paths were a wreck the fairways were in ok condition but the greens were in great shape. The biggest concern I had/have with the course is there snack stand. They take credit cards, but they write down the number and charge it later. I did not know this until it was too late. The woman handed me a piece of paper with my cc numbers written down and asked me to sign it because she will charge my cc later. With how easy it is today for ID theft, I canceled my cc ASAP because I did not want anyone to have my credit card number let alone written down on a piece of paper.
Overall the staff was great, the course was in ok shape and for the price is was a good day. I wouldn't pay more than $32 for this course.
Another great day of golf!
Had a great day on the course....pace of play was good and no complaints. Love the price!
paid 15.00 for 16 holes and cart .. should not complain
I like the challenge of the course.
Paid 15.00 for18 holes and cart.
Started 2:45 finished at 7:45 for 16 holes
The last 4 holes where backed up...but I should not complain for 15.00. If there was a Marshall on the course helping with the pace it would be a better deal. Some guys where hitting twice on everyhole.
Group of 4 (3 older woman and one man) in front of us all hitting from white tees. They could only drive the ball 100 yards. Hope you the idea of pace.
Playing on a Sponge
Tucked in the hills off the 91. This course has a nice layout and is fairly flat which makes it easy to score. Be careful of the rough and the trees on this course though. Nothing gets though the trees! Trust me as I hit into them all day long. The rough is kikuya grass which is tough to get out of and makes your ball stop as soon as it lands. I would come back as this course forces you to play target golf to score best. Fun course and got through our round in 3.5 hrs on a Friday morning.
Forgot just how much i like this Course
Old school royalty is what comes to mind. Lots of trees, Beautiful looks on every hole, large interesting greens. Just an over all fun day. Greens had just been punched but still rolled fairly well, to my surprise. She reminds me of my ex girlfriend that I stop seeing and can't figure out why but after seeing her, I am ready to have a new relationship.
I will be back soon
no water
During an 18 hole course, we need to rehydrate. There were no water coolers anywhere in the course fie us to refill our bottles.the only chance was after the 12 hole where the canteen was. In an areas with such tremendous heat, I would expect there to be some water
better day than working
watch some of the cart path pretty deep holes fairways good and greens in very good condition in the afternoon wind a possible problem stay clear of trees
Cheapest golf in town
This was cheap golf and perhaps worth it. Slow and windy with simply not much of a golf course.
windyday
Good condition except
9th,10th hole green condition.
Course re-worked from 36 to 18 holes.
Most fairways in great shape. Most personnel very accommodating .One grounds worker RUDE! Restaurant was not open...we played with 5...Marshall was understanding and polite. We do look forward to return.
Great place to play with friends
The course was looking good overall, fairways were in great condition and the greens were not bad, but could use a little work here and there. I enjoyed the day with friends, great weather and a fun course.
Now the not so good part...over booked and had to wait 45 mins past my tee time...if this occurs again I will be taking my money elsewhere. When I make a tee time I want to be on the first tee within reason.
Other than that staff was friendly, marshal kept the play moving and a good time had by all.
