Green River Golf Club
About
The beauty of the Santa Ana Canyons surrounds Green River Golf Club in Corona. The club originally had two 18-hole courses but they have been combined to form one massive, sprawling golf course. Although it is surrounded by hills and valleys, the course itself is mostly flat, making it a good round for high handicappers. The fairways are wide and forgiving, making it even more player friendly for beginners. There are still many challenges in store on this golf course though, including a number of river and creek crossings and strategically placed bunkers. The Santa Ana winds that sweep across the course can often make reaching the greens in regulation quite tough and the abundant trees, while providing a scenic and secluded atmosphere, also add to Green River Golf Club's difficulty.

Hole 11 Photo submitted by gbjunior on 05/18/2013
Course re-worked from 36 to 18 holes.
Most fairways in great shape. Most personnel very accommodating .One grounds worker RUDE! Restaurant was not open...we played with 5...Marshall was understanding and polite. We do look forward to return.
Great place to play with friends
The course was looking good overall, fairways were in great condition and the greens were not bad, but could use a little work here and there. I enjoyed the day with friends, great weather and a fun course.
Now the not so good part...over booked and had to wait 45 mins past my tee time...if this occurs again I will be taking my money elsewhere. When I make a tee time I want to be on the first tee within reason.
Other than that staff was friendly, marshal kept the play moving and a good time had by all.
Best Price to Test your skills on the tough course on blue tee.
Great to play on the tough course from blue tee at the best price.
quite long but still very good condition
All of us were very pleased to play in Green River Golf course.
The overall course is very well maintained and challenging.
Great pace
Played in the afternoon and got done in about 3 and a half hours. The condition was pretty bad. Bare spots in the fairway and torn up greens from a tractor or maintenance equipment. Played for less than 15 I'll take that any day.
Fun course
The course was in pretty good condition. Pace of play was pretty good. Finished a round just over 4 hours and really didn't have to wait. I would play again especially for the price.
Challenging greens
The fairway was very decent, the greens are fast and very challenging. Inspite of all the problems they have with the drainage and river overflowing, I think the golf course was in great condition . Green fee at $27 on a Monday was an excellent value.
Okay course if you find a deal online
If you can find a deal for less than $25 to play then it is a good course to play.
Love Course, Hated Waiting
The course was great. Our 11:15 tee time turned into 11:45 because the starter was 30 minutes behind. Once we started playing we waited constantly. Our threesome took five hours to play 18 holes. When we made the turn about 2:30, it looked like the starter was probably about an hour backed up. At hole 16 there was a 4 group pile up. The marshals couldn't/wouldn't do anything. I would guess this is a case of course management trying to cram way too many golfers onto the course. Also, the range was completely full when I tried to hit before my round.
need more
When I checked in they don't have enough cart and had to wait about 10-15 mins. Greens need to roll more but over all is really good. Especially $25 for 1:06 tee time.
Changes are for the worse
I used to play it when there two 18 hole courses. Wow have things changed!!
The Riverside course was the first 12 holes and were pretty nice . The Orange course side is really screwed up.
Your course needs more specials to attract holders. All the nice holes on the Orange side are gone.
Great course & even better staff
Pace was a little slow due to knuckleheads that spent majority of their time looking for their ball and chatting after putting out. Once Marshall notified them, it picked up a little. Nice course and great value ($35 for sat 1pm). Met 4-5 staff members and every one of them were friendly and polite.
Green River pace of play was awful.
There were Marshalls all over
but they didn't enforce slow play.
Decent course. Good value
Nice course. In decent shape. Railroad runs right through it. No
GPS on carts which I thought was advertised.
Discounted Rates:
After signing up online for $35.00 for an 11:30 t time. Which in itself was well worth the cost. However, after being paired up with another player who just walked on the course. We come to find out he only paid $27.00 which is a special for the whole month of March. I think I would have much more respect for the course if your staff would have just given us the same deal - we brought 2 players to the course.
This course has great features
The pace was a little slow, but the course has a great layout. scenery is pretty.
average
pace of play is annoying, 20 practice swings before hitting by players in front...annoying cause the marshal watched and moved on with 2 groups waiting to tee off
Fun track but a little rough around the edges
Our group had a good time playing the course but some of the greens were beat up quite a bit. (And that's not counting the 6 holes that had just been aerated earlier in the week.) Some green had sandy spots while other had this a sandy crease between the green and the first cut of rough. But the price was excellent at $30 including the golf cart. I will be back in a couple months and hopefully conditions will improve over that time.
