Great shape!
The city does a good job of keeping Browns Mill in good shape! Couple holes has a bit of flooding but in good shape overall
DO NOT PLAY HERE ON A HOLIDAY
The staff is friendly. It's the best maintained and best laid out of the City courses. One of the best values in Atlanta.
That said, there's no starter, no ranger, and the just send people out willy-nilly, which is great on a really slow day, and can be ok on a regular day. If it's a Monday the whole world has off, it becomes a MASSIVE cluster. I really like playing here, but MLK, Columbus Day, Memorial Day? Etc...it's packed as you'd expect, but the lack of organization makes it basically unplayable. Like...5 holes in 2.5 hours unplayable.
Not Bad for Winter
The course is over all in good condition for the winter season. Greens are rolling on the slow side.
Good course, needs better map directions
Great course, staff was fine. Played on a rainy day cart path only. Could use better maps/signs for Hole #1 to hole #2
Browns Mills 11/2022
Atlanta has a large amount of public courses and this is one of the few with a driving and chipping area. While this course isn’t breathtaking, for the price tag I can’t ask for much better. It is challenging and competitive for an amateur of limited skill as myself. Will definitely be coming back.
Unconcerned Staff
I informed the person checking me in that I had played there 2 days earlier and their Yellow jackets on the #9 hole. His response was "tell the people downstairs". I told the lady downstairs and her response was "we don't deal with that down here, that's maintenance". I would think a concerned response would have been I'll report that to the maintenance Dept. I pray no one gets stung!!!
Good value
Course was in pretty good shape. Good value! The only issue I had was that the staff was very strict about having all carts in by 6:15 pm. They even sent out someone on the course to interrupt play and ensure we brought our carts in by 6:15. Very annoying!
Great course and layout. However, the course got really clogged up with slow groups.

First time playing and of the Public Courses it's great value. Greens were in good shape and the course was challenging.

Pretty solid course for the price. I believe the greens were just redone. The pace of play with a little slow because there were so many people walking but other than that, highly recommend it.
