Online reservation limitations
I like to walk. I was able to book a tee time at Browns Mill at GolfNow with the walking rate. I was not able to book a tee time at Tup Holmes or Chastain Park golf courses with the walling rate. I have walked all these courses many times, so I know they allow walking.
Why am I not able to book a tee time at all 3 courses with the walking rate?
Also I a 63, I was told the senior rate which is cheaper than the regular rate by a pro shop employee, why am I also not able to book withe senior rate?
Great Mental Day
Good day overall. Course had a College Tourny going on and I was sent off the back 9. Ran into a few issues with golfers making the turn from the front 9. Director took care of it in a professional manner. Although I did run into a few issues when making the turn on the front 9 with people starting their round. My suggestion would be to keep the starting point consistent for the day if you have a tournament that day. Overall, I had a good time
nice course at value price
The course itself is an above-average value for the relatively low price. Greens are not exceptionally fast but relatively smooth. Pace of play was unfortunately abysmal on the day I was there. Also, the only available concession on premises was bottled water. Staff was very friendly and other players were friendly and good natured even with the slow play.
Good for the money
For the money, it’s a good course. It is reasonably challenging and the greens are in excellent shape. Course doesn’t drain well and so bad that the driving range is always closed.
Soggy Fairways on a sunny day!
Actually love the layout here, and will be returning when it dries out alot more. It had rained the days before I played it and apparently it doesn't drain very well especially on the front 9. Greens were in excellent conditions at least the ones that didn't have soggy spots on them. Can't wait to go back and play those greens....bet they are pretty speedy when dry!
Obviously there’s drainage issues when the conditions are wet, but instead of telling you “no carts” allowed, how about buying 30 or so pull-carts for rental? You’d make your $ back in a few wet weeks! No commission necessary for this sound, money making, course saving advice!
Greens in good shape
It’s winter so public course greens are hot or miss. I play here for the greens; the course layout and price. But huge drawback is no driving range to warm up!!!
Decent Course
This course is pretty popular and gets pretty busy, especially on weekends (very slow play on weekends). I like that they have improved the fairways. They now drain well and are not saturated after a moderate rain event. However, I can not say the same for the driving range, it was closed due to being wet and saturated. The greens look nice, are somewhat fast, but they need to be rolled to smooth out the surfaces. Too many instances when I was putting that my ball was bumping up and down causing me to miss make able putts or veering away from short putts to the hole.
Terrible everything
Yelled at us before we tee'd off for putting bags on carts before checking in. Didn't let us play 18 because they said the carts had to be back, WHEN IT WAS STILL LIGHT OUT. Hasn't rained in a week and still cart path only. Wouldn't recommend this course to anyone.
