Solid public by Atlanta standards

I like this more than Chastain, fun easy course without too many hazards or trees. Playable from anywhere off of the tee and greens that actually roll true. I’ll be playing here again

For your consideration

Would be nice to know ahead of booking that a tournament is occurring. Will return but the experience will remind me to call ahead.

Solid Track for the cost

This is a solid course for golfers of all levels. It has some challenges but isn't so hard it's not fun. The course is in solid condition and exceeded my expectation for a city run course.

Browns Mill Golf Course

Tee time for 4:39 pm. I arrived 10 minutes late. Staff allowed me to tee off. The course was backed up slightly. Tee off at 4:54. Joined by two other gentlemen. We all were walking.

Tee boxes were decent but could use a bit of improvement.

Greens were in good shape for the most part. Areas with more sun exposure were smoother. Shade covered areas of the greens were a bit fuzzy. Still very playable greens.

Pace of play was slightly slow. Had to wait on most tee shots but not unbearable.

Will definitely play here again. Surrounding area has not yet gentrified. Therefore will need to bring own refreshments as the on course amenities are not geared towards leisure.

Need to fix tee boxes

The pace of play is ridiculous. They do not monitor who jumps on back nine. This course should take 4 hours max, but I seems to always get backed up on the back nine. They desparately need to fix some of the tee boxes

Just my take

The course itself is a nice track , but because of the value price it gets congested so pack your patience

Good value

This is a fun track and good value. The layout is a good length and enjoyable for golfers of any skill level. Greens and bunkers were in good shape. Pace of play was OK- typical for this kind of course. While the staff were all friendly and helpful, there were almost no amenities at the clubhouse or on the course. There are some drainage issues, and the cart path needs a lot of work. Still, for what you pay, this is a great course in a very convenient location. I will probably walk instead of ride next time I play here.

Brown’s Mill

Pace of play is a joke. It would be beneficial if there was grass to play off of…In the fairway. All in all, the layout is good, but the conditions leave a Lot to be desired. Coming into Spring can be difficult, but for $46 on a Sunday afternoon - come on please do better.

Online reservation limitations

I like to walk. I was able to book a tee time at Browns Mill at GolfNow with the walking rate. I was not able to book a tee time at Tup Holmes or Chastain Park golf courses with the walling rate. I have walked all these courses many times, so I know they allow walking.

Why am I not able to book a tee time at all 3 courses with the walking rate?

Also I a 63, I was told the senior rate which is cheaper than the regular rate by a pro shop employee, why am I also not able to book withe senior rate?

Great Mental Day

Good day overall. Course had a College Tourny going on and I was sent off the back 9. Ran into a few issues with golfers making the turn from the front 9. Director took care of it in a professional manner. Although I did run into a few issues when making the turn on the front 9 with people starting their round. My suggestion would be to keep the starting point consistent for the day if you have a tournament that day. Overall, I had a good time

nice course at value price

The course itself is an above-average value for the relatively low price. Greens are not exceptionally fast but relatively smooth. Pace of play was unfortunately abysmal on the day I was there. Also, the only available concession on premises was bottled water. Staff was very friendly and other players were friendly and good natured even with the slow play.

Good for the money

For the money, it’s a good course. It is reasonably challenging and the greens are in excellent shape. Course doesn’t drain well and so bad that the driving range is always closed.

Soggy Fairways on a sunny day!

Actually love the layout here, and will be returning when it dries out alot more. It had rained the days before I played it and apparently it doesn't drain very well especially on the front 9. Greens were in excellent conditions at least the ones that didn't have soggy spots on them. Can't wait to go back and play those greens....bet they are pretty speedy when dry!
