Take it easy to the Marshall in the parking lot after the round is over
The course is a good value, good shape. I could do without the Marshall telling my 16 year old daughter after the round was over that she shouldn’t be driving the cart and it was on the waiver she signed. That’s kind of lame since no one asked me who was driving the cart when I went in and rented 2 carts for my family for 9 holes. I was not with my daughter and wife I had already taken the second cart back and I wonder if he would have said it to me instead of my wife probably not. Pace of play was bad, please focus on that as the Marshall.

Love this 9
I enjoy playing this course. For me, the best 9 in the entire region. #2 and #6 holes are great challenges. Walking away with a par is good. With COVID-19, the course now is crowded with peeps playing golf for the first time. No golf etiquette. Every hole is like playing the #1 hole.

Excellent Course
This is a terrific 9 hole course. Very fun and beautiful. Some of the holes are pretty challenging. My wife and I had a great time.

Better than ever
This course is playing as well as any in Sacramento. Great conditions all around. Don’t let the 9 hole short course fool you, there are plenty of challenges. Greens are in great shape, big, and none of them flat.

First ones to play this course since re-opening.
First time playing at Emerald Lakes, always wanted to try since driving by it on the freeway many times. Very impressed by the conditions of tee boxes, fairways and especially the greens! Just wish it was 18 holes instead of 9. If you haven't been you should go. Not an executive 9 holer either.

Very well kept course and greens
First time playing here and I am pretty impressed, for a public city course the staff take very good care of the course as a whole. Greens are firm and fast! If this was an 18 whole course it’d be one ☝️ f the best in the area condition wise. Good job Emerald Lakes! I will be back.

Perfect course
This course is perfect. Not too hard to discourage and not too easy to bore. This is the first course I ever played and I go back from time to time to test my skill.

Emerald is a gem
This course is the closest to my house so I play there at least once a month. It is always in great shape. The greens may be the best in all Sacramento. And, the green fees are a great value. My only negative is that the course lacks imagination with the exception of #9, which is a challenge. Would like to see an expansion to the other side of the freeway and create a 2nd nine holes. With this maintenance staff and a willingness of CSD to invest in a local golf course, a full 18-hole Emerald Lakes would be the area’s top course

The course is in great condition
I’ve been playing Emerald Lakes for over 20 years now, and today was the best day ever. I played the course today because I knew it wouldn’t be crowded (rain and windy) and I got a deal for $15 bucks. The boxes were in good condition and the greens were excellent. I spoke with the Marshall and told him to give the grounds crew props for the work they’ve done on this course. Many years ago the course didn’t have a cart path but today it’s present and worked well since it was cart paths only and this course is always challenging. Holes #4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 were fantastic.
