Golf today
Course needed to be maintained better. The fairways were basically non existent and the greens were in terrible condition
DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY
The layout is good but the greens are in horrible condition. Sand traps are full of weeds many of them unplayable. No information of construction or course conditions. Shouldn’t be charging $60 to play as is. To top it off the owner approached us aggressively posturing & yelling at us for my friends daughter in the driver seat of the cart with an adult with them. Better ways to handle this. We tried to address everything when we finished our round but no one could reach the owner on the course allegedly. B.S. right. We received $20 refund & were told we are not welcome back. We would have returned to try again until our interaction with the owner. Unfortunately it turned into a bad experience. Now I wouldn’t return for free golf now!!!
Disappointed
I know this is a privately owned course so I want them to succeed. The course it self has great potential if was in better condition. Disappointing were the conditions of the green pretty much not even to public municipal course standards. Weeds around the sand traps. The distance markers in the fairway are horrible. For example 150 yard white has a Blue 2 inch pvc pipe painted blue sticking up most of the yard marker had blue PVC pipes sticking up above the in ground marker so you don't know what the distance is by just looking at the PVC maker you need to go up and see what color the in ground concrete marker is. Very annoying when you used to blue, white red markers in the fairway. Nice fast carts. The concession were supposed to be open until 4pm they weren't and the guy in the club house couldn't locate the person and didn't have a key so they lost beer sales. The course has potential but not worth price as some of the other courses within 25 miles.
Worst Golf course facility
Old and dilapidated dirty carts
Cart paths unpaved and full of pot holes
Fairways dried grass, lack of maintenance
Greens were recently aerated and rough with sands. No course Alert was mentioned while booking.
Bridges adjoing front nine and back nine were broken, needs repair.
This place should be closed until repairs are completed.
Dry Creek
The layout is good. The conditions are just not what they should be for a $45 course. The bridges are under repair right now (I’m hoping, they were torn down) and the cart paths recently got repaved. So 2 good signs. The greens are healing good for being punched. Bunkers were atrocious. Weeds everywhere in them, but sand quality was good. I’m hoping these owners invest some money in the conditions and this course would be a great place to play.
Won't book this golf course again!!!
The staff wants us to share a cart (even when I mentioned about Covid 19 precaution) they charged us additional $5.00 each to have separate carts. Their carts are old and dirty, they need to be taken to the junk yard.
Car paths are not paved and full of pot holes. The fairways are very dry and you can see the bare ground in most areas. Their greens were recently AERATED and there was no Course Alert on their website !!! I wouldn't have booked this course if I knew ahead of time about the recent AERATION.
The 2 bridges to Hole #1 and Hole #10 are both broken and under repair. Golfers have to go around hole #10 to go to Tee #1.
I will not recommend this poorly course to other golfers!!
Have played this course several times over the years, unfortunately it just keeps getting worse. Greens are weedy and under repair, big areas of sandy holes. Breakfast was inedible. It's a shame could be a great course for the money with a little work.
Saturday Golf
I appreciated the friendliness of all the staff. The course needs a little attention but I had a great time as I am just getting into golfing more. Layout was challenging but fun. I also recorded my first ever birdie on a par 5 so this course will always be special to me!
Horrible
Terrible. Paid $60 to play a golf course with some buddies. Thought that it would be decent. The layout isn’t bad but the course is in bad shape. The bunkers are mostly weeds, greens are beat up and tee boxes are sloped. Would not recommend playing this course for the price
Not happy
I made reservations through Golf Now for two. I was told that extra cart fee would be 5 bucks. I ended up paying 10 bucks, I was not impressed by with Dry Creek staff. And to top it off the course needs lots of tender care greens dry and bunkers mud pits and trees need cutting back.
Needs a lot of work on trees & bunkers driving range is bad
Challenging course.
1st time playing and it was definitely challenging . Samd traps were lacking. Would play again
Unsatisfied
The greens have brown spots all over them,, they are sort of like small burned out partches.
They also have dried up areas of dirt on then as well. In7 VeryPoor Condition!.
The owner is the Rudest golf course manger Iv'e ever met and doesn't hesitate to be insulting.
No one in our group will Ever Play there again!!.
What a disgrace!!
I have been playing dry creek ranch in Galt for thirty years and it used to be a jewel in the Sacramento valley. Now it is in total disrepair.
The pro shop looks like a hoarders garage. It’s disgusting.
The driving range is completely grown over with weeds and hasn’t been attended to in months. There are only weeds and dirt on the tee boxes. It’s travesty.
The course itself is almost unplayable. Weeds throughout the fairways. Every tee box is uneven and littered with divots that aren’t being reseeded or sanded.
Brown spots everywhere on every fairway.
There is no rough, only crab grass and hard pan.
Bunkers unplayable as they are completely void of sand and over grown with dead weeds and crab grass.
Trees have not been trimmed in years. Some look dangerously unhealthy.
Cart paths are probably 25 years old and are basically a continuous gravel path with unlimited potholes.
The greens are destroyed. Every green has large patches of dirt or disease. Ball marks everywhere. No evidence of attempt to repair or heal them.
I am devastated that a course that I used to call my favorite is now somewhere I will never play again.
The course has changed a bit since I played last year. Several bunkers are now depressions with rough length grass Where there was 'sand' it was more like thick mud. A couple of greens had noticeable bare spots. Lots of unfixed divot marks. Fairways were in good shape. Pace of play good, under 4 hours.
Play Anywhere Other than Dry Creek
Greens are patchy and many had standing water near the hole. Fairways are inconsistent. The course placed 3 foursomes in the same time no starter to sort out the madness
