Alta Sierra Country Club

With all the rain we had should have been in better shape. The fairways had a lot of dirt and the greens had lots of brown rough spots.

We tee’d off at 6:27 on a Saturday for $61. It’s almost an hour from home, but definitely worth the drive. Overall, it’s quiet, great greens and great price.

Rough to fairway is hard to tell difference in length of grass. All tee boxes had tall grass.

I’ve played this course 8 or 9 times

Course was always in great shape

This time it was really rundown

Bunkers- Rock hard

Fairways- Hard and dry

Greens - Shaggy

Also had downed trees and damage still on the course

Also wondering what the typical schedule is for cart gal for waters and snacks on the course? Saw her once and that was it but maybe that was all that is planned??

I’m a foodie and only eat organic, definitely over bar food…so I may not ever be able to eat at the course.

as usual, no repair of ball marks , poor etiquette of players in front of our group. No marshalls.

2 hr front , 3 hour back ,weekday.

I really like this course, but it seems to be lacking in fairway maintenance. Lots of dry spots. After this winter you would think it would be in better condition. Greens are nice but fairways are not in great shape. Food we got at the turn was very good.

Very poor fairways, tee boxes and greens. Got a deal time with coupon and paid $28. Not worth the drive or discount. I was told the mower broke. Beware and stay clear. Dark Horse or the Ridge is a much better choice for slightly higher green fee.

Yesterday, the weather was cold, rainy with THUNDERSTORMS. I called the pro shop at least 5 times to see if they were open. No one answered.

We chose not to play because of THUNDERSTORMS.

This morning I called Alta Sierra to see about a rain check. They stated that because we booked through Golf Now they could do nothing. In light of the fact that there were THUNDERSTORMS, and they never answered their phone, I expect a refund of $128.00 from Golf Now.

Surely, Golf Now would not have us play in a THUNDERSTORM, and because Alta Sierra never answered their phone, we assumed they had closed due to weather.

I expect a timely response.
