Indio Golf Club

I can't even begin to tell you how disappointed I am with this facility. I started golfing 7 years ago and it was one of my favorite places to learn to golf as it was affordable and accessible. Unfortunately, since Covid, their rates (because they don’t tell you they charge $10 per riddler, per cart) have been raised to rival that of a full 18 hole course. The range has little grass to hit on, bays are often unavailable, and is patrolled by an overly grouchy, annoying man in a cart with a chip on his shoulder and something to prove. They recently decided to charge $15 to chip and putt only… which is completely unreasonable! I live in a neighborhood close by and this was one of my favorite evening options that I can now no longer enjoy. I unfortunately have heard countless stories of others bad experiences and find it sad that I can only agree with them now.

This is a great course and a must course to play if you are in the area.

For night golf, the pace of play was excellent. The probability of loosing a ball is merely into the water so the pace of play was great.

The driving range is great with all grass.

The only thing I wish I did and have were glow in the dark golf balls and that I walked.

Next time I am in the area, I will be playing the course again.

The course layout is terrible. The driving range, which runs parallel to holes 10 & 11 doesn’t have a fence to stop balls. There are range balls all over those holes. The guy I was playing with got hit while standing on the 11th tee. I barely dodged a range ball while walking down 10. Then you have holes that are parallel to each other. The same guy I was playing with almost got hit while standing on the 4th tee. Then, I’m on the 18th green and I see & HEAR a lady walking near the 9th green get hit in the head by someone teeing off on hole 1. Other than the severe injury risk, the course is pretty decent. Greens are in very good condition. I won’t be playing here again and until they put up a range net for 10 & 11 I don’t recommend this course.

The course was a ton of fun under the lights. Pace of play was great, value for the money was great. There were a decent amount of brown spots on the course and greens, but honestly didn't seem that bad for this time of year.

Shorter courses are all I can handle and this one me was fun. Although all holes are par 3's, they are on the longer side. Course layout a bit confusing. Couldnt tell where the next tee box was as most signage was down and it was our first time here. But we had a fun day. Will come back for sure.

It’s highway robbery to charge money to hit balls off this pile of dirt.

This review is for driving range. I go multiple times to practice, each time, always the same issues. Last night was the worse. I pay for balls, find an open spot, and guess what, no balls. Wait a few, no staff checks, then I see them standing around, goofing off in the corner, and go tell them myself and many others need balls. Another 10 goes by, staff still goofing off, go tell them again, finally get the hint. Happens every time, either the staff goof off, or hide on their phones. But when they come around and tell you how much time you have left in your hour, that what did it for me. I stand around for 20 minutes waiting on them and they tell me to leave soon. Place used to be better, hope management gets the point, I see others go inside and tell them to bring balls too. Other ranges charge the same and you can actually hit off grass, not garbage dirt. Get some better staff who care about golfers. We are the ones spending our money here!
