About
Nestled amongst the gently rolling hills of Rockdale County, Cherokee Run Golf Club lies within the Georgia International Horse Park. Arnold Palmer and Ed Seay designed the course. Occupied for centuries by the Cherokee Indians, dozens of arrowheads were found in the Georgian red clay as the golf course was being built. The beautiful landscape is covered in granite outcroppings, native wetlands, and dense hardwood forests. The towering trees line the fairways and the steep inclines throughout the course provide fast, undulating greens. Water hazards come into play on six holes at Cherokee Run Golf Club and there are nearly 100 strategically placed bunkers. The course's signature hole is the par-3 third. This challenging hole demands an accurate tee shot in order to safely make it past the sand bunkers that border both sides of the fairway.

Great course
Great course friendly staff ,good challenging layout Greens run true but are very fast, fairways in excellent shape
This was the first time I've played this course I will be going back very soon . I play a lot in the Gwinnett area This definitely worth the short to play this course. If you haven't played this course before I strongly recommend it

Course in Fabulous Shape
Cherokee Run is a very fair course with both the fairways and greens in fabulous condition. The holes are interesting and challenging but not tricked up or unnecessarily punishing. I judge by how often I could play a course and this is one that I could play very often.

Fantastic condition
First time playing this course in 8 years. Fairways are perfect. Greens very nice, but very difficult to read. Many of the old forced carry holes with marsh/stream conditions have been have been manicured down to just the stream. Carts have GPS video screen in each cart. A true pleasure to play. It's worth the drive to Conyers.

Did not play - bad weather

Love this course. Great design. Super zoysia fairways and smooth bermuda greens. Very green. Very safe.Social distancing was observed and single carts were sanitized.

Know Your Game
This course is very challenging. Difficult to get close to the pen. pinalizing if you do not execute your shot. Greens are fast smooth and breakin. The short of it all. I LOVE THIS COURSE.

Glad I played it
The greens are remarkable. True and very fast. The tee boxes need work, and unfortunately we ( a twosome) got stuck behind a foursome with no concept of etiquette. It's an hour drive so I won't be showing up weekly, but, will be back.
