Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

Very enjoyable golf experience, had some problems with pace of play wardens were very good at addressing the problem. One of the friendliest staffs I have ever seen.

Had a really fun day with my brother, staff is really friendly and courteous.

Place is fun and challenging!

Would definitely come back!

We were surprised to find that we were to play the back nine twice due to the aeration of the front nine. HOWEVER, when we made the turn to play the back again we found in front of us EIGHT (8) groups waiting on hole 10. The course must have known that half the course was to be closed. WHY did they not stagger the tee times to allow a normal time to make the turn. NO WAY we were waiting over an hour to re-start. So we left but complained to staff that this was not acceptable. Staff was missing anyone in management to calm us down or offer a half discount or other consolation. Management did not pick-up their phone. Two weeks prior, management wanted to additionally charge us for carts, but we had to argue that we had prepaid tee time with carts. This course is regularly mismanaged and there is sparce maintenance. Makes you wonder why anyone would want to play there.

It’s a nice day. Not giving 5 stars because we had to play the back nine twice since front nine was being aerated. I happen to like the back nine so it was ok. Great deal for the price.. Pace was slow because we were all on back nine. But still not bad.

Great place to play, getting better, greens great, best french fries in town. Keep making Cottonwood better.

I love Cottonwood Golf Club because of the staff and the cost. I used to play twilight primarily because of cost. Now I play 2-3 times a week in summer and 1-3 times a month in winter. The course is challenging. I’m 63 and distant is dropping for me. The greens are usually fast and the fairways are wide. On a whole, the course usually is in excellent condition.

But what makes cottonwood all come together, is the staff. Staff Has to be the friendliest staff I’ve ever met anywhere. Very accommodating and I’ve never had a problem every time I go there. They make me feel at home. After all, he’s in it all about service. The food is excellent and the beer is cold cold cold!!

The old adage of you get what you pay for rang true for this dog track. The price was good; however, spotty fairways and tee boxes were somewhat over grown. The greens were good but aside from that the placwe was a dog track. I don't think I'll be coming back to this one.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. 5 stars for the staff.

This course has had it's share of neglect. The ground squirrels and gophers own the entire track. The greens are in need of serious attention, and the tee boxes are a joke. It seems that the ten or so groups in front of us didn't bother to repair their ball marks on the greens. I repaired hundreds of ball marks during my four hour tour. The buildings, fences, signs, etc. are all falling apart. It's sad.

No driving range. Why?

The beer cart: I was hoping to get a sandwich. But, the only food item available was Uncrustables. Huh? Do a lot of toddlers play this course?

I hope somebody will purchase this track and make it great!

I was a single from Ohio that joined three locals. I visit every year and Cottonwood is on the rotation of courses I play when visiting. Had an enjoyable round. Only problem was we waited on every tee box. But the weather was nice and enjoyed the view of the snow on the mountains.
