Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

Took the wife and kids to play and the staff all around was amazing and super supportive!!

Every hole, my team waited more than 5 minutes!!!!

Friendly staff! Greens need TLC. Most patrons don't bother fixing their divots. Balls roll rough and bounce around quite a bit, perhaps management needs to keep a tag on the greens... Need to be punched and rolled. Fairways are in much better condition, also, like the fact that they brought the ball washers out, that's a plus! Would be a much improved golf course if management worked on the greens. Busy, but pace was okay without a marshall... That's a plus!

Cottonwood is showing the signs of a budget golf course during a super drought. Not in as good of condition as last year at this same time. Many bare fairways. Green areas are in better shape than the fairways. I’ll keep golfing here based on the price and layout. Hopefully the fairways come back.

Very surprised at how good the course conditions were for this value purchase. Many other courses are value but in poor condition. This was a pleasant combination

Greens were pleasantly true, but overall it is clear this is a course in decline. You can see the potential - but also the slow atrophy. Keep it in the middle of the fairway and you’ll (usually) have some grass to hit off of within a few feet - but don’t take the round too seriously. For a budget hack-about it’s fine - just don’t expect more. Would have been a nice flat walk, but no pushcarts available.

Course was in surprisingly good condition. Pacecwas good for 1st 9, then backed up a bit...ended 4+ hrs.

Pro shop staff and bar server very friendly. Hot Deal price for under $25 with a cart! - hard to find anything bad about that!

Greens were beat up from others not repairing ballmarks but still rolled well.

I can’t believe this place is tucked away out here. The layout is awesome. Open holes to bomb, and demanding holes with lines tree fairways! Minimal dirt, the fairways were trimmed perfectly, the rough was groomed so no losing your ball within 10 yards of the fairway. And the greens. WOW. They must’ve been punched a month ago because they were absolutely phenomenal. I played in the afternoon and there was minimal foot prints, par threes had repaired ball marks so no land mines to putt around, and the speed was AWESOME! It’s very hard to find truly fast greens and man these guys rolled like a dream! It’s out the way for me but if I have to get down to east county I’ll be back!

It was 91 degrees. I didn't see any drinking water available on the course. Maybe I missed it. Otherwise, very nice course, well-maintained.

Cottonwood continues to improve. Great staff, greens excellent and good pace of play. Also, cart person. Best french fries in town.
