Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

It was really bad pace if play due to drunken guys and loud speakers on the in front of us.I couldn't funish my round but also no marshalls are managed them.

I don’t understand why people give this course a bad review, what more are you expecting at this price point? , have y’all played some of the other courses around town that are way more $$$ This is a fun course with nice greens, yeah there’s a few crap spots here and there but not really horrible like some places. I’ve been playing here off and on for years, it’s worth it every time

So to start off the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The price for a full 18 plus cart is excellent. The course has a nice layout that is not overly challenging but is great for a nice round. The tee boxes were in decent shape but a bit chewed up and due for a tee move to a new spot. Greens were good but in need of some care as they were getting scared up a bit. Always challenging this time of year is the amount of leaves that littler the course which can bud your ball or complicate your puts, brining a leaf blower could be helpful haha. The carts are getting a bit dated as ours had very loose steering but was manageable. The charge light started flashing on the 13th hole but it held up for the entire round. All in all it is a good course and I would recommend it. Now for the only negative. Because the cost to play is a bit lower there can be groups of newer players which we had in front of us and led to an almost 5 hour round. My group are not the fastest players and I remember struggling but hopefully some ready golf is practiced a bit more.

First off, minus one star to Golf Now for preemptively telling me that C-19 should have bearing on my review almost three years since the scamdemic started. I left at hole nine because the course was not being marshaled the way it should. We couldn’t even play past the group in front of us because of the group in front of them, then a patron wants to mouth off to me when I said how ridiculous the situation was.

The driving range is trashed and way too close to the course. Actually had an old gentleman tell us it used to be the 18th hole. The greens were mediocre at best without every tee box having basic amenities such as ball washers. The staff was friendly which is a huge plus but with pros simply did not outweigh the cons for me. Hopefully anyone reading this will have a better experience than I did.

Still improving. Get a new picture of Cottonwood Ivanhoe course. You are using the old Lakes course picture. Great fries. and people working there.

Based on the recent reviews we knew the course was in poor shape. It was actually a tad better than expected. We played "find actual grass" rules. Pace of play was poor, and not necessarily because the two groups of inexperienced golfers playing scramble style in front if us. On the back 9, they played as an 8-some, even though they had been told to let our twosome play through. No marshall followed up with them. The round took almost 5 hours. The cart wrangler wouldn't give us a cart 30 minutes before our tee time because they needed carts for the two groups in front on us, but then gave carts to groups after us while we were on the putting green. We didn't get a cart until less than 3 minutes before our tee time, which is a stressful way to start a round. The cart wasn't recharged (had just been turned in) so almost died on the 17th, and barely limped home.

Took the wife and kids to play and the staff all around was amazing and super supportive!!

Friendly staff! Greens need TLC. Most patrons don't bother fixing their divots. Balls roll rough and bounce around quite a bit, perhaps management needs to keep a tag on the greens... Need to be punched and rolled. Fairways are in much better condition, also, like the fact that they brought the ball washers out, that's a plus! Would be a much improved golf course if management worked on the greens. Busy, but pace was okay without a marshall... That's a plus!
