Cottonwood Golf Club - Ivanhoe Course

5 hour round for no reason. Has happened both times I played here. Also, both times I've played here, there has been some kind of wait on the first tee due to players being late or some other kind of mix up. I think 18 being a par-3 doesn't help the pace of play issue (2 group backup on the last). Don't think it's really the course's fault more the fault of the people playing there.

I played on a Friday afternoon for a very affordable twilight rate. Beautiful course with not many hazards. Only complaint is that the pace of play was slow.

Cottonwood is going to be a great place to play golf. Keep up the good work. Staff are wonderful. Great french fries.

2:30 tee time. Waited at staging area for one cart until 2:35. Group joining us waited even longer and didn’t join us until 7th hole. I would appreciate being able to chip and putt prior but can’t if there aren’t any carts. Marshalls were not marshalling the booze bro hackers in front of us playing at 30 minutes plus per hole, couldn’t finish 18.

Price was very good but the fairways were barren but the green were in good condition. I still recommend this course.

It was a bit brown in spots, but overall the layout is nice and there were decent conditions. Worth the price.

I don’t know where this course is getting these 3 and 4 stars reviews because it’s not even close. The clubhouse is old and outdated. The tee boxes need mowing,seeding and a lot of water. They can’t/don’t even buy actual trash cans for the tee boxes. They use milk crates. Multiple dead spots in the fairways and tee boxes. Greed were ok at best.The practice area has no grass and you hit off mats that are old and worn out. Oh and if you want beer be ready to $7 per bottle of but lite. I’ve seen much better municipal courses than this place. I have pics I would post but for some reason GN wouldn’t load them up. I wouldn’t wast my time and money if I were you.

This was my first time playing this course and it ended up being a pleasant surprise. The staff was very pleasant and courteous and were happy to see somebody willing to play in the rain. Most people had canceled their tee times and they said there were 6 people currently on the course ahead of us. Pace of play was great. It didn’t even rain that much, didn’t even need a jacket. The course conditions were good. Can’t really comment about the food as they closed the restaurant because of the rain, so they were only serving beverages from the bar. Overall a good value.

Cottonwood continues to amaze us, great place, french fries, staff and greens. Well worth it.

This course is great for those looking to get out and play regularly for an affordable amount. The lay out is simple yet challenging for most golfers and offers a good use of most of your clubs in the bag. The summer time heat is hurting some of the fairways but that is to be expected, the greens keepers do their best to make sure the greens and areas around are always given the most attention. A lot of the issues with putting greens is people not fixing their own divot's.
