Always a good time
I enjoy playing at Cottonwood. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The drink specials are always good and very reasonably priced. The course is in really good shape and the layout is challenging for my skill level. Pace of play is typically a 4 to 4 and half hour round. Usually very little waiting. All in all a great place to play golf and always a good time. Food menu and prices are also very good, and the quality is great.

Fun Course. Slow Play…
Had a good time at Cottonwood GC. Course was in good shape and the greens were nice. However, without a Marshall on course, the pace of play was terrible. 18 holes in 5:15. Fun course, just wish they’d monitor pace of play.

Another pleasant round at Ivanhoe........
on a weekday afernoon Conditions were good for the summertime.....keep it in play to stay on some grass, a little yellowing in places but it's not dirt....can get rustic in the rough.....the greens looked shaved and were faster than normal i thought.......had a nice 4 some for the round......the fee was reasonable as well....all made for a fine day at the course.......

Horrible course condition
Layout is fun but the course conditions were horrendous. Any patch of green grass to hit off is few and far between, including the fairways. Just be prepared for what you pay for, lots of hitting off dirt and dead grass.

Great Staff!
The people I usually see that work at this course are the best of any course I play in San Diego. Kevin and Jacob in the pro shop, Ron and Virgil the starters. And there are others that just always make this course a pleasure to play at. I've been playing this course since 1971 and I still love it.

Bumpy
Riding in the cart was bumpy all throughout the course. My back was feeling it by the time of the 18th. Greens were slowww. Course was ok, but not well kept. Driving range kinda sucked.
