Turkey Creek Golf Club
About
Turkey Creek Golf Club in Lincoln sprawls across rolling hills that are covered with mature oak forests. The back nine even closely resembles Germany's Black Forest. The centerpiece of the course is the old granite quarry that was transformed into an expansive lake that comes into play on the third and final holes. The golf course is formidable, testing golfers with blind shots and uneven lies, but the challenges are nicely balanced by long, open fairways. Water comes into play several times throughout as well as the towering trees that blanket the landscape. The course will keep golfers on their toes but there is plenty of visual respite available. Players can often catch a glimpse of the abundant wildlife that call Turkey Creek Golf Club home, including deer, quail, foxes, and of course, wild turkeys.

18th tee box, with a few elevation changes and water on the left. If you feel confident, slug it off to the left and clear the water, putting you in a great position for a second shot to the green Photo submitted by copz1998 on 07/20/2018

covid-19
no booze sold at course, did not ask why,
for this reason, just facts, course in good shape, staff friendly.
No back tees
I tried to play from the “Black” tees as they are stated on their scorecard but no tee markers. I decided to tee it up where those markers would be but realize that almost half the tee boxes are obstructed by overhanging trees! Even some tee boxes had tree limbs overhanging right ON the tee box as I hit them on my follow through. Pretty frustrating. I know not all people play from those tees but I don’t think they should even be on the scorecard. I’m sure the course is fine for most but I’m not sure I’d return.
Great course
Very enjoyable course.
Great pace on front nine, slowed down a bit on back.
A lot of challenges.
Course/greens were in great shape
My day at Turkey Creek
Challenging and long. Pretty holes and layout. Don't think there are any easy holes. Major complaint: they aerated the fairways and the aeration driver and machine was constantly on the fairways with us. Couldn't you do this at another time? Very irritating.
COVID Turkey Creek
It’s definitely safe to play at Turkey. They do a good job of keeping things clean and spaced out.
I’ve played here for years. Great track and nice traditional layout. Mature trees and lots of shade, with natural rock crops.
Negative is fairways and bunks could be in better conditions. Also prices have went up and I don’t believe it’s worth paying $39 for a twilight rate of even in the $60’s for regular times. Used to have great deals with EX Links now you have to go through Golf Now. Sucks
I’d rather drive a little further and pay a little more for a much nicer track.
Saturday Round Under Four Hours!
Glad to have Turkey Creek back open again. Have played this course many times and it is usually a 5 hour round on a good Saturday. Not today and not with the reduced touch points like not pulling the pin or no rakes for the bunkers. The course put some round foam in the holes so your putt did drop but only an inch and a half so it was easily retrieved. Seen this on other courses and think it would be worth investing in it even after the play returns to normal. Our round was 3 hours and 50 minutes and we weren’t rushed at all. I would have given the course a five star for condition but being a public course the greens were beat up a little more than normal. Then that’s not the courses fault. I just wish everybody would be more mindful and fix their ball marks. Other than that, it was a great round!
Beautiful
Great layout, lots of dog legs, a little tight, greens kind of slow. Definitely want to play again
Beautiful course but very slow
Such a beautiful course but we were stuck in a traffic jam 3-17. We finally called it quits
Worth the trip
Our golfing group has become separated by relocations due to Paradise’s “Campfire “. Some of us chose to get together at Turkey Creek in spite of recent rains. It was worth the two hour drive for me! The fairways and greens were in very good shape with only occasional sloppy fairway spots and standing water in some bunkers. “Cart path only “ was not the order of the day. The pace of play was not a problem. In fact, we let a few twosomes play through and still finished our round in 4 hours. The greens were challenging and not too bumpy for the time of year. We will be back for another reunion.
Disappointed Again
I have always liked this course. Last year I tried it again and found it seemed to be going downhill. I tried it again and now I won’t return. The course is very dry no grass chipping almost impossible or very difficult. Our cart was filthy even above our heads. The window was broken and taped in 2 areas we even ran out of battery power and had to have another cart brought out. The bathroom was also dirty I was told by an employee a new management my be in the future. Such a nice track what a shame to let it all go downhill.
POORLY MAINTAINED CARTS
CART JUST ABOUT RAN OUT OF POWER TO GET US BACK. NO MARSHAL'S ON COURSE AND BACK NINE WAS VERY SLOW.
beautiful and relaxing
very pleasant first time experience Course lay out is very nice
Slow play & staff unable me to assist
I played Turkey Creek on Saturday (2/15/20) with a foursome. We were told that they were running a little behind but that it will be fine once we start. Our group didn’t mind the 10 minute wait past our tee time but by the end of the front 9 we had waited for every shot from tee to green.
One of the members in our foursome had to leave after playing 9 holes because it took 3 full hours. He went into the clubhouse and to notify the staff about the incredibly slow pace and there wasn’t a sign of remorse, concern to help out or an offer to make things right. The three of us that stayed ended up finishing the round in 5 hours and 45 minutes - 63 minutes behind the courses recommended time.
NIce course
Great conditions easy round , greens a little fast .
Had fun
Awesome course
Very cool layout. Turkeys and deer all over the course. You can’t hit driver every hole the course makes you think. Had a blast
Hi,
Thanks for your review.
We are currently in the process of transferring our liquor license from the old management group, to the current management. We are looking forward to serving alcohol again as soon as possible!
Thanks for playing at Turkey Creek!
