Executive at Las Positas Golf Course

The course is in ruins. There is flooding throughout the course. Where it’s not swampy, it is bare hard pan. The sand traps are in terrible conditions. The rakes are back out, but the sand is so bad and not tended to that there is no point in even taking them yourself. The course is borderline not playable. You have to play lift clean and place when it’s 100 degrees out because it’s in such bad shape. There are many many unplayable areas. I’ve played this course for 20yrs and I’ve never seen it this bad.

You were either hitting out of soggy grass, or hard pan dirt. and that was the fairways.

This would be sometimes only feet apart. Traps we almost unplayable. Doesn't look like they had been raked in a week or so.

Gonna chalk it up to late summer, no rain in almost a year.

The course is in terrible condition all around. I will never play there again.

They let this course go down hill. Used to be a nice course likes the pics, but not now -now the course plays very unfair. Sanding water everywhere, bare spots and dirt patches along with large soggy areas on most fairways. You can lose your ball in the middle of the fairway in a massive watery/soggy area. Most sand traps have little sand with weeds, while a few have very fluffy deep wet sand. Water features like ponds are swamps, not pretty anymore. Carts are dirty with bald tires. We weren't told the greens were sanded when we booked...not professional.

Swamps on half of the fairways in the middle of a drought. Literally swamps - algae growing in the middle of stagnant holes on nearly every hole. Portions of several greens soft and squishy due to this overwatering. It’s so bad that it seems like it must actually be water pipes leaking if it wasn’t like it on nearly every hole. Also, all back nine holes are sanded so those are even worse.

The Greens are some of the worst greens I have seen. The course is getting over run from Turkeys, Deer, squares, Canadian Geese, and Gophers.

There is standing water everywhere (Fairways, Sand traps, cart paths).

Tee blocks are uneven and some of them are bare.

The driving range price for balls is too high. Better prices at Tri Valley golf range.

Golf Carts price to high for their poor condition. No GPS on carts.

Have not been here for a while but the course has a lot of broken sprinklers/ wet spots and the greens on the front 9 have a lot of damage. Anything over $30 with cart is a ripoff. It's like management don't care.

This course is always in repair! Fairways riddled with bare spots, muddy wet areas, and trench marks from golf carts and maintenance equipment .Tee boxes are the worst..

Greens are close to perfect however!

I played roughly 5 times this year and it is good place and value for money.

Once I had bad experience with Cart man, who threatened me (another my friend) to return cart at 7:00 pm on 16/17 hole. I have knee joint problem and had to walk back with that knee, making it worse due to load of Golf clubs bag. Somehow, I’m not so happy with staff here!

Another time Cart battery died. But they did replace it after 20 min.

Others than these two incidents, this place is worth going and enjoy yr game!

Was a great track years ago but now, dry spot, swamped spots , horrible tee boxes with so ao greens. Don't play here unless you get a bargain.
