Great Course - Maintenance needed
Played the course for the first time in over year. While the greens are still in great shape, the fairways need to be revived. Lots of dry areas and weeds covering what used to be lush fairways a few years ago. Still a fun course but for $99, there are better options in the bay area.
First class course, rinky-dink booking system
Can't say enough about the course. Staff is friendly. I will be back. But they changed the booking system. You cannot cancel online. If you call the course, they say call golfnow. Golfnow recording says do it online which you can't do. So you need to wait for an operator, give them a lot of personal information then have them cancel.
I assume they are saving a lot of money, but the customer service is now a pain.
I love corica
Great place, great golf. They need to stop trying to gouge everyone though. 70 bucks for a weekday round is already up there, but then to turn around and tell me that there is no discount for a replay was outrageous. I did not eat lunch there because of this and when I plan my golf days I will have to think of another place to play multiple rounds. It's not hard just charge half of the rate or something like it.
Play Corica Park South if you get a tee time
Corica Park South course is vastly improved from the pre-2018 version. The fairways are generous (except for a couple on the back nine) and are in great shape. There was plenty of Sand in the Bunkers (I know I was in several) and greens are smooth, quick and challenging. The layout is challenging and fun. I can't wait to try the North Course after it is built and it should make it easier to get a tee time. The weekend round was about $100 for a walker (it's a fairly flat course) so it is not cheap but I think it is worth the money.
Second outing
Some of the fairways on the back nine are not in good condition, very different from the front nine.
We liked the course
The course was in excellent condition and the layout was also better than most of nearby public courses. Especially the greens were big, well designed and excellently maintained. Only blemish was the staff at the pro shop who was so unkind that we felt unwelcomed there.
