18th hole, I tried to play it safe to the left, ended up in a bunker. Unfair Photo submitted by u000005262087 on 01/05/2020

Beautiful bayside course Photo submitted by u000001344650 on 07/30/2018
Interesting Course, Hate The Blind Shots
I enjoy my experience at Corica Park, South. My big takeaway was that the greens are similar to Old MacDonald in Oregon, very hard literally as the ball rarely leaves a mark, and the break is unfair at times. In fact, downhill putts are just mean here.
The layout is a stock muni with very nice bunkers. I hit roughly eight shots out of the bunkers and each was pleasant and even. The course can be beaten up by a bomber.
I really dislike the blind shots on this course.
Fun Track!
The redesign is fantastic as the old Corica South is now a very playable, really enjoyable course. The conditions are excellent, and the greens in particular are about as good as it gets in the bay area. While the routing is almost identical to the prior course, the changes in elevation, bunkering, and other features make for a real upgrade. This is an easy walk with fairly firm fairways that drain well, so winter rounds are not a problem. If you haven't been to Corica Park, this is certainly worth a try. My guess - you'll go back for more.
Good and some not my cup of tee
New track: completely manipulated land with humps bump mounds etc....,
Good condition overall
Greens fast and pure but rock hard
My gripes are greens too severe with mounds and valleys.
Good shots can be punished
Also bunkers in middle of fairways don’t sit well w me.
Staff so so
Great course
Didn’t rain and caught a great deal...course is in shape and greens are deceiving....
Weather was fine, no crowd so felt like a country club! Staff was very friendly and helpful
The new Corica South course is a Bay Area gem.
If you are a fan of links-style golf, this is a "must play" golf course. They took what was a beaten-down muni and had Rees Jones completely overhaul it. It is now a super-fun and challenging links layout, patterned after the great sand belt courses of Australia. Great variety of holes, incredible green complexes, and the greens seem to always be in fantastic shape. This is one my new favorite tracks to play. BONUS: Great bar with good food and lots of micro-brews on tap, so your 19th hole experience will be just as good as your day on the course.
Great Course tough greens
Great course and facility. South course is a very forgiving course but its real defense are the greens. They are fast and hard. Facility has a great restaurant and bar with JIms. Cant wait for the north course to open as well.
Beautiful course, relatively flat but big difficult greens.
Beautifully recently remodeled “Australian-style” Course. Relatively flat layout adjacent to Oakland airport and the bay. But the rolling hilly roughs and bunkers is a bit challenging as there aren’t many trees or other natural hazards.
Those giant greens are tough, no problems getting on in 2–3 on most holes even on the par 5’s, but the 3 putts once on will get you in the end and make you pull out your hair.
Nice new pro shop, restaurant, courtyard, new blue carts with gps range and map app.. but didn’t redo the bathrooms or the men’s locker rooms? I assume same for women’s side. Why not finish the whole job?
Links for a change
Second time I've played the course and again enjoyed the round. Being a links course the wind typically comes into play providing a challenge. The course was in excellent shape, a few brown spots in some of the fairways, but not unexpected at this time of year. However, the greens were still in excellent shape, fast and true. Diffidently plan on playing the course again.
Water the F’ing Greens
I think their greenskeepers needs new glasses, all the water they should be putting on the greens is all over the cart paths. You might as well save $75 and putt on your driveway. Stupid.
Great course, poor customer experience
$65 for Wednesday morning round with punched greens
When I asked the golf shop attendant why they didn’t aerate the practice green when they are aerating g the rest of the golf course, they responded”we never aerate the practice green”
When I asked why they don’t inform customers that they are aerating while they check in the day of, the response is:
“ because it doesn’t really affect gameplay.“
I suspect that the folks at the front desk do not play much golf. Call in advance and request to speak with the superintendent if you wish to know any current facts about golf course conditions
Excellent course
Corica Park south course in Alameda is a very good course. The greens are in immaculate shape and the fairways are very good also.
The course is interesting but not too difficult.
We played in 4.5 hours but had to wait a bit as the course was crowded.
Awesome, must play
Fantastic layout and maintenance. Greens were huge, perfect and fast. Great walk.
CORICA SOUTH - Really fun and Challenging
Nice layout... good fairways ... the greens are very true and not so easy... which it make it fun and Challenging... nice pace.... be ware of hidden traps... and treaky... shots.
