Awesome Food, Nice Staff
The pre-game BLT on sourdough bread with coleslaw and French fries was delicious! Really nice staff at the clubhouse. The weather cooperated and there was very little delay at some of the holes. We joined up with another twosome at their invitation but our round was still at 5 hours....and we are not slow players. The Ranger was very nice, even applauded one of my drives towards the end of the round.
Great condition
Played on 7/21/23 in the afternoon. Slight breeze and sunny. Course was is great shape, fairways very nice and healthy with a well mown, but thick rough. Greens were in very good shape and run faster than expected. Some holes had tee boxes moved up as there were repairs going on with back tees. Pace of play is decent, but can get slow at times as there are many singles and twosomes being held up by slow foursomes. More than a few high handicappers on the course the two times I played recently. However, well worth the patience as it is a well maintained course with very reasonable green fees. Golf carts have GPS and it is nice that it is not a cart path only golf course. Note that this is an easy course to walk. Practice facilities are better than most local courses that are much more renowned. Grill is a good place to have a bite before or after a round and there is ample inside and outside seating. This is a nice, unassuming gem of a golf course that should not get overlooked.
Pace of Play
They need to get a Marshall out on the course on the weekends. DO NOT PLAY THIS COURSE ON THE WEEKEND. The starter just starts who ever he wants, no flow. I never had seen a 6 some before be able to play. 10-15 min in between shots, worst experience ever. 2 hours and 20 min and I’m on hole 6. Had to walk off. When a course doesn’t seem to care why support them.
A fun lil golf course1
A fun layout that lends itself for a quick round of golf with its Metro look and finally nice greens to putt on. Will play it more often
Good shape
Greens are wonderful. Friendly staff. Interesting layout with two par threes in a row.
Exceeded Expectations
Was able to get a HotDeal through GolfNow and boy did that end up being a fantastic deal! This course may not be that long (under 6,000 yards) but it’s still a challenging & fun course, and the greens are just as nice as other more prominent courses in the area. My buddy and I had the good fortune of getting paired with a couple of friendly & good golfers, one who of whom had a lot of experience with the course. We definitely will plan to play this course again when we have an extra day in Monterey!

One of the best values around.
Course conditions are very good. The pace of play on weekends is slow so go in knowing that.
