Originally designed by Chandler Egan in 1932, the first nince holes takes you through the forested areas of Pacific Grove. Egan's nine takes you through an inland terrain and reflects much of the charm of an English rural course done in the old style.
The back nine was designed by Jack Neville, the original designer of the Pebble Beach Links. It opened in 1960, and is laid out in true links design over dunesland that approaches the sea.
Over looking the course is the Point Pinos Lighthouse. Built in 1855, it is the longest continuously operating lighthouse in California. It is a historical sentinel and picturesque landmark of the golf course.
A scenic tour of the dramatic coastline provides views of Lover's Point, Point Pinos, Crespi Pond and the natural dunesland at Asilomar. You will be enchanted by the abundance of natural wonders such as the plentiful Pacific Blacktail Deer, seals, sea lions, sea otters, pelicans and gulls.

Awesome Views
The course is absolutely beautiful from start to finish. The first 9 will take you through a lovely Pacific Grove neighborhood and the last 9 will take you along the coast. Amazing course for the price and very fair.

Ocean view course
Short course but very scenic. Need to keep shots in fairway and out of trees. Back nine along ocean. Conditions can be windy but why complain when you’re playing golf in Pacific Grove!

Still love this course!
One of the best values in Monterey area.
The greens had been sanded unfortunately and temps were in the 40's, And it started drizzling on the 13th hole! Oh well, never know what you'll get the beginning of March.
STILL...whenever I'm in the area, I'll book a tee time.

Pace was very slow. Group ahead had two bags but 4 golfers, two absolute beginners. Group a head of them had SIX golfers. Pace was awful.

My first time playing here, such a beautiful course. The back nines views of the ocean was really cool and you’ll see plenty of deer roaming around. I will definitely be coming back.

Nice second 9 holes
If you want play like at pebble beach, you should play the second 9. That’s the same view like pebble…and not so expensive !

City course play
Always a delight and challenging, the first 9 is a good pace, the back is more challenging and as a result the pace is slower, seems like the old dudes rule the course.
