A bit difficult to get on since it's on the Navy Base. Make sure to call the proshop a head of time to get an escort. Besides that, amazing course for the money!! No one on the course, wide open so hard to lose balls / good for beginners. If you're a < 15 handicap you should be able to score low here.

Need sand in the sand traps!!!!!! No dirt please. Sand

Flat course, rewards straight shots, fun and fast. Great greens, carts with gps, and nice ocean breeze to stay cool!

Arrived early had time to hit some balls. Stopped by the 19th hole bought a few beers, the staff put it in ice for me and it was reasonably priced! The pace of play was great never had to wait!!! Will continue to play this course over closer courses....

Rates online are typically walking rates and riding rates add 11 bucks to the cost. The course itself is in good shape. Fairways and roughs are green and minicured, the greens were recently airated and sanded maybe last week so they were a little slow. The course has 2 par 5s and offered plenty of doglegs with bunkers and well placed trees for obstacles while greens are large with minimal slope making it playable for a beginner as well as advanced. Gene, the golf pro is friendly and knowledgeable if you show interest in talking about the course.

Course was very wet after the rains, only could play front 9 so had to play it twice. Understandable as it was a wet storm. Green in good shape and most the fairways. Staff really seemed indifferent whether you played or not. Walked in the proshop and we were the only customers in the shop at 1045am. Waited about 10 minutes then finally had to find someone to check us in as our tee time was at 11am. Found two guys in an office and infomed them we had a 11 am tee time thru golf now. Got a wave of a hand and told to wait a minute.(attitude change at mention of golf now, like I was a lesser customer. ) finally came out a couple minutes later. We prepaid but needed a cart and he seemed very perturbed of our being there. When we finished #9 my friend( retired police officer with disabilities) was getting his bag when David from the shop came out and actually yelled at my friend to leave the green right away. No manners, just plain rude!! Had to calm my friend down , hurried to the #1 tee to wait as there was two groups were on the tee . (Still don't understand David's attitude, maybe needs a job not dealing with people) . Still finished in3 1/2 hours . Really felt like golf now customers are treated like a nuisance!!

Fairways and greens were kept up nice for being in a drought area for the last years

One of the best values in Southern California. You get the private course experience on a public layout. You have to go through a military clearance in order to receive a badge to get you in to the naval base, but once that is done, it is well worth it. Great layout and never crowded. Must play.

#1 NEED GOLF PASS TO GET ON THE SEABEE BASE. 2 WEEK PROCESS, BUT WORTH IT. (can do by email) First of all, got on as a SINGLE. Starter was surprised as well. Seems like I was only one who was able to get thru their system (GOLF NOW may need to check the connection) and to get thru as a single was abnormal. Normally do not except singles, always listed as 2-4 players. No hills, most holes seem straight forward, but narrow fairways and doglegs with water, bunkers at the right spots, with a nice slanted greens. Wind adds another element.

This is a very good golf course for the price but the superintendent is over watering the course. We usually play this course between 6 -7 am and theatre array least 3 holes that have standing water on the fairway, and it is not just a small one but covers half the withd of the fairway. And the sprinkler would still be on by 8 am and is usually placed on your landing spot, so you trying to either time the sprinkler with your next shot or have one of your playing partner hold the sprinkler head so you can take your shot. Also the green in the morning can get super slow also because of overwatering. Another thing was the teebox on #7 if you are teeing off from the blue tee, you can only use half of the tee box because there is an huge over hanging branch that the superintendent would not trim.

Never rushed and a fantastic value for the money. Snack bar is wonderful. Course could use some water but then many of the courses are like that these days. Driving range is great!. Best kept secret in Ventura County. Best thing about this course is you are never rushed by folks behind you. You can play at your pace. It is a great course to walk. Not the most scenic course but it is the best value for your money in town.

Played course for years. It is in the best condition ever, well organized by staff, and a new, very good restaurant. A dramatic improvement over all.

Havent been there in 20 years. They have added another 9 holes...no 18 hole course. I loved it...lots of doglegs....i will play it again soon. Nice layhout...friendly staff. Loved it!!!

Not a bad course, but watch out for the seagulls.

On the tenth hole my shot ended up next to the pond near the green. There were quite a few seagulls congregated around the pond. As we approached the pond a seagull started poking my ball with his beak. I shouted "hey that's not your egg" at the bird. It apparently took exception to being yelled at. The annoyed bird picked up my ball and flew away with a number of its friends. We gave chase in the golf cart hoping the seagull would drop the ball. The birds quickly outpaced the golf cart and were gone. My buddy laughed and wanted to know how I was going to score the hole. I guess it was Bird 1, Golfer 0.

Very average course due to poor maintenance.

We booked the course and were very excited to play there. Come to find out...if you do not have a sponsor to give you permission, to get you a pass, you cannot gain access to the public golf course. Wish we would have known a head of time. Really looked forward to playing there.

Really fun overall experience was delightful and pleasant. A lot of dirty birds by water holes, if you know what I mean
