Great Facility
The course overall was in great condition! Friendly and knowledgeable staff! If the pace of play were better, this course would be the total package!
Great course for newbies
Diamond oaks golf course has always been one of my favorite courses. Some of the staff needs a lesson in customer service, and politeness but you only have to deal with them for a couple of minutes.
The course itself is great. A couple of Tee boxes need attending too but overall I had a great time. It was a little slow but it was Friday afternoon. 5hrs is a long time but it was a great day. The greens were well manicured and green. I would recommend this course to anyone.
Wonderful course.
Diamond Oaks is a very nice course. The staff is really friendly and the pace of play was good.
This is a very popular course and is fairly well booked even on the weekdays. The facilities are good, clean and well kept. There's a $5.00 deposit for the cart key, so you have to remember to get it back from the club house before you leave.
Spring twilight
Course is in great condition, greens a little slow but fair considering it just rained. The only negative is no apparent course Marshall and they have a considerable number of younger (high school) golfers whom for the most part are considerate of other golfers, divots, and pace of play. Unfortunatly a group 3-4 holes ahead of us thought they were playing the final round at Augusta.
This course has many options for dinner after your round.
The greens were punched at the beginning of the month. They just started to come out from good to better. This last rain on 04-24-14 will help bring this place to AWESOME!
Decent round
We played on Easter Sunday so it was pretty empty. The course was in good condition but the greens hadn't fully grown back after being aerated. It was only our second time playing there but I noticed the rough is just at that point where it's long enough to make it really hard to find your ball unless you're standing right over it. On a few holes I hit it just into the rough and I tracked the ball the whole way but once I actually got there I had to walk around and search for it because the rough was so long. Overall fun course.
Stay Out of the Rough!
This was a challenging course that rewards fairway shots and penalizes you for going into the rough.
As you should be.
Good course but pace was slow
I like this course. Overall design and conditions are good. Pace of play on the other hand was unreasonable. Tee time started about 10 minutes late and it took us over 5 hours to finish the round. At least two groups on the tee throughout the entire round. I don't know if it was just because mainly senior play this course or it was just one slow group and there was no marshall pushing the pace.
Average course
Service was bad from the start at check in with personell. Seems like personell just going through the motion, like they didn't enjoy or liked their job.
Pace of play was really slow due to the group in front doing a lot of talking instead of playing...no Marshall present to assist with the pace
Bunkers were bad, only about 1/2" of sand before hitting hard pan.
Greens were slow due to aeration.
Course would have rated higher with better service, faster pace and better conditioned bunkers.
Diamond Oaks
It was a great day and nobody on the course almost...Greens had been aerated and so it was difficult to get a good read on the putt.. Otherwise, great...
Great Muni course
Course was in great shape. Some tee boxes were a bit rough. Pace of play was good. Not overly challenging but still test your skills. Overall experience. ..very positive!
Speed of play course conditions
A (4hr& 10min round) play started slow but after 6 holes never waited on a tee box except starting 10 tee.
Course was very nicely kept except tee boxed need some serious attention. Greens were very smooth but pretty slow .
We all enjoy a challenging round of golf.
Get Ready For A Long One!!
Diamond oaks and Woodcreek are the same way. They over book tee times. They don't give enough time between each one. This makes golfers wait forever between shots and holes. The pace of play is the slowest around. If you are playing there get ready for at least a 5 hour round with lots of down time and waiting around.
Good course good weather, a slow day though
Took us 5 hours to finish 18 and we were behind at very beginning. Course is in good condition so we did enjoy it.
Had a great time
One of the best municipal courses I've ever played. I don't live in the area but I plan an playing this course again when I'm back in Sacraminto.
Well worth the time
The staff is great. They are the friendliest I've seen in the Sacramento area and I've played them all. The fairways are in excellent shape, and the greens were perfect. The pace of play at 3.5 hours and the weather made for the perfect game. Good job Diamond Oaks.
Tee boxes
My issue is with the tee boxes. I played the blue tees and they were not in very good shape - bare spots and divots and it was difficult to find a flat level spot on half of them. Other than that I think the greens and fairways were above average for this time of year.
Great Day!
Great day, great weather, great friends and a great golf! What more could you ask for?!
Decent Course in Roseville
This course is owned and operated by the City of Roseville so that should tell you something. Considering the drought we are in the course was in decent shape with the exception of the tee boxes, they were terrible. I have played this course many times, its fairly easy and cheap. The pace of play is always around 4 1/2 to 5 hours so plan ahead. If you are looking for a high end course this is not it. But if you are looking for a cheap round at a decent course this is the place for you.
great neighborhood course
course was in good shape - better then other courses in the area
