Timber Creek Golf Course - Lakes/Oaks

This Roseville,Calif course is the best of the 4 1/2 public courses in the area. A 41/2 out of 5 when the others are a 2. Well kept,well , run,and the best layout in the area. Kudos to the staff and groundskeepers. Noted new sand in bunkers and new rail boundary fence. Alert,Public golf course operators ,this is how to run a golf course! Timbercreek's little sister Sierra Pines is equally well kept.

I live 4 streets away from this course. Don't play often because the usual green fee is round $80. I do play when there is a Golf Now hot deal for a green fee under $50. Course conditions are usually very good. Much better than the local municipal courses. Busy everyday. A 4.5 hour round is typical.

The greens were perfect, I also noted towel water buckets placed here and there. Don't see that much.

I usually don’t mind paying a little more to play Timber Creek because I can always count on the course being in top condition. That’s not the case right now. Their fairways are bare and I’ve never seen the course in this bad of conditions. I won’t be coming back anytime soon. And don’t tell me because it’s winter. Every other course I play in the area took advantage of the rain and sun to improve their conditions.

Course in great shape they have best warmup facility, especially bunkers

First time playing. The green where in great condition. Piece of supply was a little slow due to women’s group ahead of us.. I like the layout. It wasn’t very long, but if you’re in the fairway, you had a shot for the green most of the time.. a lot of wild turkeys on the course, which was kind of strange.

I live a mile away, but I don't play here often. Pro shop rack rate is high enough that it doesn't compete with other local courses. I only play here when Golf Now has a hot deal. The course itself is a friendly track. If you can hit your targets you will not lose a ball here. Most holes have fenced homes on both sides. A few holes go through wooded areas, where the rough is deep. The practice putting green is marvelous. The driving range is great when the tees are moved forward of the astroturf matts. Range balls are mediocre quality and mostly in ratty condition.

Just overpriced for the public, layout is fun and challenging but the course amenities are poor, no beverage cart but one hole. Not ideal to have a “fivesome” with a walker ahead of two golfers. Poor golf etiquette, no one fixes divots and must include the maintenance staff as well I won’t play again for the price .
