Good course for the mondy
Ladies running food service and beer cart are not friendly and service is very slow
First time at Tecolote
Lots of lost balls in the surrounding shrubs and creek, you must hit it straight at this place...Had several longer holes than I expected as I thought it was a pitch and putt...Navigating the course at certain holes is a challenge...Great staff, fun course...bring plenty of extra balls as you pay dearly for off center shots.
Fun course but soccer golf players annoying
Had a good time playing the course. Very fast paced and great holes to work on short game. Would have been a lot more enjoyable if it wasn't for the group playing soccer behind us. If I wanted to pay to play soccer I'd go to a soccer field. It's annoying to pay 25$ to play golf and have a group yelling and screaming behind you for 18 holes
You'd Better Be Able to Hit a Straight Ball
...or you will lose a lot of them in all the woodsy areas on the sides like we did, or at the many opportunities to land in the water, like we did. Enjoyed a course that frustrated my skills! And thanks for the beautiful weather, lots of sun but not too hot, some wind at all the right spots.
Needs Better Management
*Course conditions were fair and could use some improvement. CA is in a water drought, so this could have some impact.
*Both carts assigned to our group died and they needed to be replaced by the fifth hole. The least management should have offered was a comp drink for the short walk we had to do and inconvenience.
*ALL ball scrubbers were empty of water and soap. Each was full of mud and dirt with your ball coming out dirtier and when it first went in. I guess they can keep blaming the state water shortage.
*When I return my cart, I asked one of the employees if they needed me o return the key to the club- without taking his eyes away from his cell phone he just blurted NO. I don't need attention, but some eye contact and proper customer service is expected.
Course is very challenging
Has narrow fairways if your not consistent hitting your ball straight to the green your ball will end up as lost ball. So for the begginers this is a great course to practice also bring a lots of golf balls with you I highly recommend. The only thing needs to be done on this course are the greens. A little renovation each time will help this place be one of the best in the area.
Very challenging
Tecelote golf course is a long drive for me, but I make the drive out there because it is by far one of the best and most challenging executive courses in California. I love playing here! The price is around $20 on Golfnow.com and it is reasonable. I have never brought my driver out here, as the longest home is 299 yards with a blind tee shot over a ravine to the fairway and pin. This course isn't kid friendly so don't bring your 6 year old out hoping to get the little tyke some early years experience. Other than that, I would recommend this golf course to anybody who wants to improve on their irons.
undulated greens
some of the fairways quite narrow.pretty extreme
undulations on quite a few greens. helps to know
where to miss had some pretty challenging chips.
would play it again.
Great Value
Ty guys for making another great golf outing!!
Liked the pin placement ;)
Great value. Excellent Staff
Warm friendly staff. Played on a Saturday morning with no crowds at a great price. While the course is not in the best of conditions it was fun to play and the greens were in good shape. Very convenient to Mission Bay.
excellent
Really enjoyed myself very challenging greens. Very friendly staff .
best greens around
My wife and I had a blast here!! Love the layout..very challenging and the greens were perfect... Can't wait to take her again..
Is this a golf course or a soccer field?
They allowed a group of five golfers and six soccer golf players in front of us. Yes, there were eleven people on the tee in front of us for the front nine. This course has become a complete joke by allowing soccer golfers to mix in with actual golfing
Great small course to play
Great course to play and definitely tests your accuracy
Fun
Great golf course for any skill level, the holes range from very challenging to very easy!
Okay Executive Course
Short out and back course tucked into canyon. Includes grass driving range. I like my par 3 courses to have some length to them, in order to use several clubs (similar to par 3's on regular courses). This course is exceptionally short with average length being around 110 yards, tee to pin. There are a couple par 4's, but they're nothing to write home about. Fun to play once, but lacking any real challenge to keep coming back.
From the back tees the 14 par 3 holes average 137 yards. Five holes are 150 to 165 yards, hit 6-iron through 8-iron. Five more holes are 130 to 140 yards, hit PW or 9-iron. I think it is just missing a couple of long iron par 3 holes, although if you want to you can hit your long irons off the tees on the par 4 holes.
nice lil hide away
Nice little locals course, every one was very nice. They also have that new soccer golf too.
Awesome
I would recomend this course, overall to practice youre short game.

First off, thank you for your honest critique and feedback. Without it I would not be able to address the issues. I have only recently taken over as the GM here within the past few weeks and will utilize this to motivate both the staff as well as myself to provide a better product & service.
We just received a NEW fleet of golf carts on July 15th.
I just hate that your experience was not up to standards and would like to "Make it Right". Please contact me and allow me to do just that.
