Fun
This is a fun little course with four par 4's it is challenging at times but can be played at any skill level I would recommend this course to any amateur.
Good executive course
This is a good course to practice short game but be ready to wait on "new" players who don't know about letting faster players through.
Better than expected.
I'm just a beginner and was a little worried that this executive course might be a little too advanced, especially after some of the reviews. However, it was a perfect course to help improve "irons." You will definitely lose some balls though, unless you're a pro.
Excellent executive course
This course has difficult holes and greens even for the best of golfers and it's always a challenge. The only drawback is that being a dandy executive style course it can get clogged up if everyone is not keeping a good pace of play.
Greens nice, tee boxes and fairways need love...
The greens were very nice, but the tee boxes and fairways needed some love. Very dry and brown in spots. Very narrow fairways, not much room for mistakes on any hole on the front 9. 29.00 is a little much for the conditions....20 or a little less is fair.....will not return unless I can get around 20 dollars.....
great ameatuer course
Great course, and awesome greens. Although the fairway is filled with crabgrass which is hard to get good shots and well played balls. But all in all great course.
A great course, if you have 5 hours to play it...
The course is challenging, good setup, and the greens are well maintained. The problem is that the golf course does not enforce pace of play, basic etiquette, or a dress code. The 2 groups in front of us did not tee off on time, hit multiple shots of the tee, and were approximately 2 holes behind the group in front of them. Most of the groups also had tank tops and flip flops on, which was completely ignored by the Pro Shop and Starter. Complaints to the Marshall did nothing to resolve the problem and since we did not have time for a 5 hour round, we left after 9 holes (2 1/2 hrs at that point). Play when it's not busy, or play at your own risk.
SUPER SLOW PLAY!!
it took 2 hours just to play 8 holes... so I called it a day, just wasn't worth it.
The course is in great condition
I always go back to Tecolote. The greens were in great shape and I could not have asked for a better day. I play there twice a month and have always experienced a great course.
One of the most challenging executive courses
Some of the holes have OB really close to the greens. The tee boxes are usually on the bad side, but on flipside, the greens are nice and challenging depending on the flag locations for the day. On this particular round, It was annoying to find that there were unfixed ball marks on MOST of the holes. It felt like I fixed 2-3 ball marks on all but one green. Pace of play was slow for the first few holes, but it picked up rather quickly. I especially like that this course has a range that you can either hit off of grass or mats.
Great value for money, pretty course
Gem of an executive course. Quick play and well maintained
Elevation changes & hazards!
You will not be disappointed by Tecolote! Sam Snead design with accuracy a must. Played in a natural canyon with stream running through entire course. Have fun!
slugish pace!!!
it was a fun 7 holes, thats all i lasted. very slow play, finaly just left, it wasnt worth the time
second time playin in tecolote have a great time
we have good playing time with two other friends overall all three played great
Great for short game
Course was in good shape. Don't let the distance fool you, narrow fairways provide a good challenge and your short irons will get a work out.
Tight Fairways
Tecolote, is a super executive coarse which makes for a tee off has to be dead straght as possible because you have very tight fairways. Your playing in a canyon with canyon slope mostly on the right side and a creek on the left side. So you better bring extra balls! The greens are fast and challenging. It sharpens your short game.
Stay away!
Distugsting facility, course, bathrooms, practice area, food and service. Someone needs to buy out the owners, fire staff and make this place a decent golf course.
Short but tough course.
Well maintained greens for this short executive course. Lots of OB if you don't hit it straight. Greens are small, so precision is key. A couple of short par fours if you want to hit the driver a few times, but not long enough for the shorter hitters to hit the green in two. This is a great course for the beginner and experienced golfer who wants to improve their short game and be tested with precise tee shots. Pace of play is kinda slow. Expect waits during peak times - weekends/afternoons.
Great little course, well maintained.
Good place to play if you don't have 5.5 to 6 hours for a full round of golf. Great course to sharpen your short game skills.
Did not care for it
The ground was like hitting off rocks
the cart paths were dirt and gravel
it was ok but i did not like the course there are better maintaned
exec courses out there
