Gleneagles Golf Course at McLaren Park

It started off bad and went downhill from there.

We made a reservation and were told that we had to pay in advance so we did.

When we arrived, we were told that we needed to pay. What??

Finally got on the course after explaining that we already paid and showed our records.

From there we realized that course was in shambles. No grass to be found except some on the greens.

Wife gets yelled at by "Marshall " for hitting a provisional ball. "No practicing on the course "

Place is a dump surrounded by a ghetto with rude people.

Best muni and atmosphere in SF. Greens are in great shape. Are the fairways and bunkers pristine? Absolutely not, but play the local “one grip length” rule and you’ll have a decent lie. Two sets of tees make it feel like a different course if you are looking to loop it twice and. play 18.

The bar is great and the staff is even better. Give it a shot.

Solid course. Great value. Nice vistas. Bay views. They’re managing drought conditions very well. Friendly staff.

The course Is burnt out. The only green on the course is the greens. The grounds keeper drives around harassing golfers instead of watering the course. The course has hundreds of pinnacles laying all around making it extremely hard to find your gold ball because of all the random balls laying around. Unless you are a regular at the bar you will not get a warn welcome checking in. Also the bar is credit card only. No cash?????

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course layout is tricky but the staff assisted in explaining. The main disappointment about the chorus was the traversing conditions. The course has so much sand and dirt as part of its walking/traversing route that it was very difficult. It was difficult physically walking it up and down and also for an electric cart. There are very little cartpath areas.

The course is difficult. You get to use a driver on a lot of holes and is spaced out for a 9 hole. They are in water conservation mode so a lot of the fairways are dead and dying. They water on the spots where people land. Overall a difficult nine hole that was fun to play.

Pace of play and pace of greens just the way I like. Fast

I paid $0.99 for this round of golf an still felt it was overpriced.

Loved the range of difficulty of each hole, quality course all around.

Personally I hate this course as it hates me with a passion. Typically lose my first ball but even if I do find it I don’t think I’ve beat a bogey on the par 4 and probably only bogeyed it once. Played it nearly 50+ times. But hay, Last week I had my best 9 here with a +13. It isn’t the courses fault I suck especially now. More likely the bourbon. But I don’t care. I hate this course
