Lincoln Park Golf Course

Lincoln Park is a good course .

It has challenging holes that are fun.

The greens are not in good condition

The weather was really perfect today. Normally it is cool and windy.

The layout is challenging and unique. That’s the only thing going for this course. The fairways are hit or miss. Sometimes good grass. Other times smash your tee shot in the middle of the fairway...and into a dirt patch. Just not acceptable for what should be a top ten golf course in the country given the location and views. The greens are just tragically bad. You can’t learn anything on your putting game here. A billion bumps from jerks not fixing their ball marks. So stupid and irresponsible. The worst part of it is if you play with the locals here they’re just so uneven. They love the course but then are the worst offenders of common upkeep (the greens). All in all it’s a fine place to play for the price if you’re a resident. But don’t by any means pay anything more than a deal type price here. It’s just not worth it. Then again, in a pinch you can get a round in here and not be completely bummed. You just won’t learn much about your game because the course is not well kept.

Fun course. Greens were in rough shape. But the views are STUNNING! People here are friendly. Great course to kick back with some friends and relax. Forget your score and just enjoy the day.

No choice to have a golf cart. Big negative for the course. Made this a bad experience for a first timer. Would not recommend this course to my friends. The only positive about the course was the view, but does not make up the lack of golf carts.

You get what you pay for, course layout was nice but the greens are terrible. Don’t go out of your way and travel to this course it’s not worth it.

Course is a disaster. Greens are overgrown and spotty. Fairways are sparse. Could be a decent short 18 but it is in bad shape. Played there since 82 and it is the same course now as it was back then. Very little grounds keeping now and then. Very sad.

Come for the view but keep any golf expectations at home. Greens were riddled with divots! Yes, divots, not ball marks but divots. There was no clean putt the entire round. Fairways were nonexistent as the grass was as long as the rough.

Greenskeeper/mower decided to not wait for us to play the hole and literally mowed around the green while we were putting.

The starter refused to let me and my son, who drove together in 1 car, share a golf cart because my son, without his license, cannot prove we were in the same household. Even added that if a marshall sees two golf bags in 1 cart, the cart will be confiscated! What a ridiculous rule in my opinion! Were they just after getting cart revenue?!!

I last played this course 30 years ago and this is where I first tee’d it off as a youngster. I just wanted to share the experience with my son. Pay the starter and just wait for the 17th hole (signature hole), with the Golden Gate bridge as the backdrop.

Lincoln Park is a good course with challenging and enjoyable holes.

It needs work on the maintenance.

The greens are lumpy and filled with bumps and divots.

It is a shame the course is not better maintained because it is a good course

I’ve always loved this course as it boasts some of the most spectacular views of GG Bridge, Mt Tam, and the headlands on the northern side of the bridge. Though today had lingering fog everywhere at least the smell of smoke was less intrusive at this course than other places in the Bay Area. Greens played slow today; it appears that they just aerated the greens and added sand. I’m glad for the upkeep, I just wish I had a golf cart to carry me to each hole.
