Birthday at Lincoln Park
As most locals probably agree, Lincoln Park Golf Course is a a gem that the city should bring up to date or lease out to another facilitator who can bring it up to the condition it deserves. Views alone make this an iconic SF venue for tourists and locals looking for a great day of golf.
Golf experience
Beautiful course, great pro shop staff, just would request considering better signage from one gateway to next
Beautiful scenery
We did not get use Golf Now rate. Running late and called the course to let them know. Said no problem, would honor rate, moved us from 11:50 to 12:50 but upon arrival made us pay full rate and said we had to take up refund with golf now.
Help?
Tough Course
I don’t know if the white flowers to hide your ball, or umaimtained fairways are a style of course, but it was tough. Views were nice, but the course was poorly maintained.
The views
amazing views. Course is in ok condition but the views are well worth the price
Terrible course. Terrible price. 1 cool view.
This course was abysmal. Very Expensive ($46 green fee and a hidden $32 cart fee). $76 to play that course is so not worth it.
There are also no hole markers. We played the course and we actually didn’t know what hole we were on because there was nothing on the hole to tell us what the hole was.
Clovers everywhere, hairy fairways, and poor greens.
If you want to spend that money play a TPC course Or something halfway decent at least.
Will not come back.
Welcome to good ole Lincoln!
Just know what you are going into when you go and have fun! Youre going to get bad lies and weird angle and bad bounces. Just accept them and enjoy the great views and setting.
Great layout and beautiful views!!!
Played on a Friday afternoon, check in and was able to tee off right away. Course is short but very challenging with beautiful views of Pacific ocean and Golden Gate Bridge!!
Sunny day
What a great day to play this course! Weather could not have been any better . Great layout , course was in great shape . Greens could have been a bit better but was still playable ! Definitely would like to play again soon ! Two thumbs up !!!
Great course, Staff not friendly or organized
This course is beautiful. On a nice day you'll see the GG bridge. There are a verity of holes, with interesting approaches. Curse is a little dirty. Found empty beer bottles, water bottles, and garbage in random parts of course. My issue was we had to wait 30 minutes for a cart. They apparently ran out of carts by 3pm. Also the employees didn't see sympathetic and were borderline rude. One was complaining that his shift relief was late, and even cussed in front of us. Overall nice course but the team there is understaffed or unhappy. Couldn't figure out which.
Pebble Beach Setting, Muni Course Luxury
Oh, what this course *could* be! But it's not. Very nice layout. Lots of elevation change. But low-end-muni course management: Some fairways sopping wet mud, others bone dry hardscrabble. Pedestrians everywhere (because it's incorporated with scenic pathways). Minimal parking. Greens fee for residents is $27 -- BUT SO IS CART RENTAL!!! If you're walking, you have better be in good physical an aerobic shape. I *am*, and my knees were still worn out at the end. As with most muni courses, no marshals, and poor scheduling. (We were backed-up behind three twosomes, and had a fivesome constantly hitting into us.) Animal holes on greens (especially on #3). Weeds, too. DON'T USE A YELLOW BALL, because you'll never find it on some fairways, amidst the dandelion flowers.
Hole #9 is a killer.
Good Value, Excellent View
The course is in moderately good shape. The grass is long so I had trouble on some holes distinguishing between the fairway and the rough. The course is rolling and provides a good walking workout! I like how the course winds around the hills through neighborhoods and park areas. The view of the Golden Gate Bridge from the 17th tee box is wonderful-especially on a sunny day!! With all the rolling hills the course provided a good challenge and was a good value. There were times we weren’t sure which way to go to get to the next tee box - more signage would be nice. At one point, a car was blocking the cart pathway (we rented a cart rather than walk). This was by the Legion of Honor. The person in the car was on her phone and was very rude when we asked her to move out of the way. There wasn’t any other way for us to go. She had many empty parking spots to choose from which is where she moved to. One does have to watch out for traffic since the course crosses over roads and parking areas.
Good course not in very good condition
Lincoln is a good course.
It has one par 5 which is highly unusual.
The par 3's a very long and difficult.
The greens are in poor condition.
