Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club

Played this course for the first time while visiting family in AZ. Course has been open for about a year. Carts have GPS. Pro shop has a good selection. Didn’t use the locker room or restaurant. Will play it again

Nice layout with beautiful tees and fairways. The green complexes are difficult. It requires some knowledge of the course to know where to hit the greens so the ball stays on the surface. I love playing there cannot wait to get back and give the greens another try!

Course is Fantastic, Greens very challenging can’t teall say anything about the pace of play since I Think there was only 4 groups on the whole course and staff was very nice would’ve been nice if someone would’ve told us the pin placement but overall would recommend playing this course if you want a challenge

We played at 1:30 so got an afternoon rate, 50% off. I would not pay $150 per person to play but at $75 each, great price. The course was in very good condition for the end of Feb. These are HIGHLY undulating greens!!!! and quite fast. For me, they were a pile of fun to putt on, not so much for my wife. I am glad we played now before the course is lined with houses. I do not think we would come back once all the houses line the fairways. The clubhouse is beautiful. 6 bottles of water provide on the cart - nice touch. Fairways are generally quite wide, bunkers, lots of them.

This is the third time playing this course. There is so much house construction going on right on many holes, that I think over time, the course is going to feel really closed in. I knew the greens have crazy undulations really for no reason, but it seemed to bug me even more the third time. Greens were not very fast at all, not sure why they’ve decided to slow them down? Some of the fairways are not in great shape with very thin grass on hard dirt. Maybe not watering very much? Also, getting food at the turn is a joke. Takes forever to drive over to the club house, and we played on a Friday, and saw the cart person on #2, them not till #15. They need to fix this. Slows play if you can’t reliably get food at the turn.

Had a nice driving range and putting greens. No food on site. The front greens were very difficult with pins in worst place I could imagine.

Getting to be my favorite course on the Westside. Always in great condition. Wonderful layout. Good mix of holes. Fantastic greens. Fast and true. Kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for. I leave here happy.

My first time playing the course, from the start to the finish everything was first class! Probably the friendliest staff I have ever encountered, the course is in great condition. Greens rolled fast and true, fairways and bunkers were perfect! The absolute best deal in the Phoenix area, much better than the TPC course’s. The only rival I can tell would be Qeintero, but priced better. When I’m in the area, I’ll definitely play again.

This was my second time playing this course, the first time I was playing in 50 mph gusts all day. This course is arguably the nicest course in the west c valley. From the Proshop, the locker rooms to the practice facility everything is a 10/10. The course is playing pretty open until they finish the homes around the course. Do yourself a favor and make a trip to surprise from anywhere in the valley. Give yourself time to check out all the amenities.

Very professional staff course was in nice shape coming out of oversees . A few trick holes but overall very fair very good gps system on the cart.

A very well manicured course, wide fairways, w very little rough. Got a bit boring odd the tee, as lots of the same. Greens have huge undulations which may be unfair once the greens speed up

Might be a bit overpriced for the Surprise area
