Sterling Grove Golf & Country Club

Everything was great except one of our foursome had to cancel due to back problems. Tried to contact Golfnow and the message said it was inside the 24 hour window so too bad. The customer service people no longer take phone calls. The course accommodated us but Golfnow did not. There are other ways to get tee times so I'll try those.

This is the 4th time I have played Sterling Grove. Depending on the wind it is a completely new challenge every round. The tees, fairways and greens are perfect. Can't wait to play there again.

$165 a person for a course where the first nine holes are surrounded by ongoing construction is ridiculous.maybe once everything is done it will be worth that kind of money but for now I would pay more than $75 to play here again.

Great golf course. Nice layout good speed on greens, greens maybe a little hard had one 6 iron hit on top of ridge on par 3 at front third of green next bounce was 5 yards over back of green. But a nice course have already recommended and will play again. Mens locker room sensational. Didn’t get chance to check out restaurant

This is a very new club house nice design, the mens locker room one of the nicest, there are I think 4 putting courses for members to play a game on. The practice range has flags with greens and bunkers around so you can get great feel for length. Wide fairways for driving but plan your club off the tee with what club you want to approach with on the shorter par 4’s. Greens were very hard this might be my only criticism. But were good speed for putting. A nice mix of longer and shorter holes. Pick your length carefully the wind came up on back nine for us so played much longer

Super nice new Nicklaus course but the thing that made it great was absolutely no snooty feel. Pro shop, marshals, bar, etc was super friendly and welcoming! Please do not change that and become a snobby place! Loved it and would highly recommend it.

Played this course for the first time while visiting family in AZ. Course has been open for about a year. Carts have GPS. Pro shop has a good selection. Didn’t use the locker room or restaurant. Will play it again

Nice layout with beautiful tees and fairways. The green complexes are difficult. It requires some knowledge of the course to know where to hit the greens so the ball stays on the surface. I love playing there cannot wait to get back and give the greens another try!

Course is Fantastic, Greens very challenging can’t teall say anything about the pace of play since I Think there was only 4 groups on the whole course and staff was very nice would’ve been nice if someone would’ve told us the pin placement but overall would recommend playing this course if you want a challenge

We played at 1:30 so got an afternoon rate, 50% off. I would not pay $150 per person to play but at $75 each, great price. The course was in very good condition for the end of Feb. These are HIGHLY undulating greens!!!! and quite fast. For me, they were a pile of fun to putt on, not so much for my wife. I am glad we played now before the course is lined with houses. I do not think we would come back once all the houses line the fairways. The clubhouse is beautiful. 6 bottles of water provide on the cart - nice touch. Fairways are generally quite wide, bunkers, lots of them.

This is the third time playing this course. There is so much house construction going on right on many holes, that I think over time, the course is going to feel really closed in. I knew the greens have crazy undulations really for no reason, but it seemed to bug me even more the third time. Greens were not very fast at all, not sure why they’ve decided to slow them down? Some of the fairways are not in great shape with very thin grass on hard dirt. Maybe not watering very much? Also, getting food at the turn is a joke. Takes forever to drive over to the club house, and we played on a Friday, and saw the cart person on #2, them not till #15. They need to fix this. Slows play if you can’t reliably get food at the turn.

Had a nice driving range and putting greens. No food on site. The front greens were very difficult with pins in worst place I could imagine.

Getting to be my favorite course on the Westside. Always in great condition. Wonderful layout. Good mix of holes. Fantastic greens. Fast and true. Kind of expensive, but you get what you pay for. I leave here happy.

Construction aside, great layout. Greens tough but fair. Ball rolls true.
