A day with PopPop

Took my 92 year old Grandfather out for a day on the course. He used to caddy when he was a kid at Sea View in Jersey. Had a spectacular day. The course is always in impeccable condition. Didn’t see another group the whole round. Was a the exact vibe I was looking for to take him out for an enjoyable round. And I could spend all evening on the backyard.

Super fun the lower rating is only because it was part path only and soupy!

I’ve only given the lower score, due to being cartpath only due to the rain the fairways were extremely soupy! I hit one ball and threw mud 35 feet. It was extremely fun even with the poor water displacement on the fairways. The course wasn’t difficult. It was great for an average golfer that doesn’t get to play every week. The staff was friendly enough however, the gentleman put my bag in the back of my truck on top of another bag tilt a downward so all my clubs slid down and we’re bouncing around in my truck bed. I know he didn’t do it on purpose so I mistake great place great people had a blast.

The Yards is a wonderful 9 hole experience. Th ere are 3 practice par3s as well but I usually play just the 9 hole layout. The course is in perfect condition and is always a joy to play.

The only problem is that the course is pricey. You will pay more to play 9 holes at the Yards than most of the 18 hole courses in the area.
