Sun niche course but 12 holes is a little weird.
Course in great shape. It’s kind of a weird setup with 12 holes - especially for the price when other corses in the area are the same price or cheaper and 18 holes. Don’t get the front yard back yard concept. 12 holes on the front yard (9 holes front nine and then three more par threes). With three more holes for the back yard (which are the same three holes in front yard plus three more holes). Why not just make it a 15 hole golf course? Other than that the greens were excellent. Massive slopes on a few. Bunkers excellent. One par 3 with a bunker in middle of green (the “black hole.” It’s fun playing every now and then but I wouldn’t do this 12 hole track regularly - especially with what they charge you to play 12 holes and you still have to pay for range balls. The restaurant (three palms grill) is excellent! One of the best meals in Jax.
What a gem!
The 12 holes are a perfect amount of golf. Course in great shape. Great layout, and reasonably priced. The pace of play was how it should be. Club house of full of smoking hotties! I think best deal around right now!
Fun Course
This was perfect for getting in a quick round of golf. Greens were in mint condition. Will definitely be coming back!
Awesome place !!
Greens are mint but HARD . I’ve played the course at least 25 times and can’t master it . Fun atmosphere the owners spare no expense on frills fun party spot also ..
Ideal location and great value. Staff very accommodating and friendly.
Fun course, with some challenges along the way. Thoroughly enjoyed and will certainly play there again very soon.
Really fun, came back the next day
Really enjoyed the course and conditions. Punches above its price range.
9 hole executive course
Not a very challenging course. Greens have so much undulation I was expecting to see a clown or windmill. Forget trying to make a putt. This course is not for me.
Nice day
The redesigned 9 holes are very nice. Greens and fairways in top shape. Very walkable course. The 3 par threes across the street were o k.
A little pricey for what it is.
Odd Cart staff encounter
I’m fairly new to the area and this is a review of probably my 6th/7th round at The Yards. I very much enjoy the course, and overall my experiences have been very pleasant - great staff, course condition, and bar/amenities for after the round. This past Sunday, I played 12 holes with a friend after a very rainy week. Early tee time, wet course, we expected some restrictions. We were told cart path only and the last three holes (short par 3’s) would be walking. No big deal. At the turn however, we asked to just keep everything sitting in our cart while walking the last few holes rather than emptying everything out (coffee, water, towels etc), especially since the carts aren’t allowed in the parking lot. This would not only be inconvenient but would slow us down with a group behind us. Cart shack guy told us no problem, so we parked the cart, grabbed our bags and walked toward holes 10-12. Not 5 minutes later, he’s coming out on a cart with another driver and getting into our cart, taking it away with our belongings still inside. We flagged him down and he said “Sorry, I need the cart for another group.” Now, we had just passed the cart shack where we asked if we could keep the cart in the first place. There were 10-15 dry carts ready to go, on a fairly rainy and miserable day when I didn’t see many other groups coming out behind us.
Again, I have no issue walking the last 3 holes to help keep the course in great condition. But to charge $71 for a 12 hole round, and then take the convenience of the cart away - even just to keep our belongings in while walking - after we’ve already paid for it…. That rubbed me the wrong way. I can’t say I wouldn’t come back to play here again, but I was disappointed with the level of service we received during this round.
