Effective Renovations and Updates
The course and facilities have had quite a bit of modernization done and it has improved the quality of the course. Parking is undersized and chaotic with improvements needed.
Amazing Place to Play
This place is amazing, no issues, they are working on the course and constantly making it suitable for our needs, love the work and love the greens!
HUGE improvements
Played April 9 at 2pm for $50. The value that this course offers cannot be overstated. The tees and fairways overall are in good shape. Some of the greens, #s 2 and 5, for example, have recently had work done, and a few others have bad patches here and there, but they didn’t really have negative effect on the round. The entire tee box on #12 has been resodded so it plays as a short par 4 which actually makes it a little bit harder. Met Taylor and Darren from the grounds crew-super nice and knowledgeable and I could tell that they are taking pride in the course and their work. Bar service and food were really good and affordable. Well done, city of Rincon. Yall are doing a fantastic job with this place.
They've come a long way
Overall the course is in great shape other than the greens,
Had a blast
I stopped at Rincon on my way north from Florida and I'm glad I did. The town itself is beautiful (and busy!) and the course was a lot of fun. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the 3 members that invited me to join them were a hoot. We played the black tees and there were plenty of challenging holes. Course was in fine shape for early Spring.
Still some work going on
The course is improving quickly with the spring grass coming up! Hole #5 is still closed to play as it was completely rebuilt. I would guess another month for the hole to open. Some tee boxes have been covered with fresh sod, so a couple of alternative tee boxes are in use. Overall, coming along nicely!
Money on Course Well Spent
Course continues to improve. The new par 3 will be a challenge. Cart paths are excellent. Course improvement plan and its implementation is impressive.
Still needs work
There needs to be a new drainage system. The course stays wet somehow even after four days without rain.
Wet course
Decent layout but should have listened to the earlier reviews noting poor drainage. The course was very wet and lost a few balls because they stuck in the ground and couldn’t find them. Some of the greens were still in the middle of some repair. If I paid more than $30 to play I would have been more frustrated but about what I’d expect for that cost.
Getting better by a minute
Since the city of Rincon purchased Lost Plantation Golf course, it has gotten much better. The city has invested money time equipment and labor into making the course better. Every time I play there, I can see things are getting better. They recently replaced all of the crumbling asphaltcart paths with new wider concrete paths, they’ve cut a lot of trees to allow more sunlight on the greens. They’re rebuilding some of the par three holes, added drains to the sand traps, etc..
overall I’ll give them two thumbs up. Good job city of Rincon.
Nice place to play
Wet and muddy. Rained the day before and was cart path only. They had new cart paths and gps in the carts. It looks like they redid the fairways. It should be very nice next year. I would play again.
