Nicely maintained during COVID19
The course is in a much better condition than I expect. A nice peaceful round of golf.
Yes, golfing season is back!
After many months of waiting for golf season to return and this covid situation, I am happy that they let the people golf. So with that in mind I got a chance to finally play at Pruneridge for the first time. Always driven pass the establishment and saying to myself I will play here but somehow I would always forget. Very pleased that greens were smooth and we taken care of. Had the opportunity to play with a pair of strangers who happen to be a mother and daughter and I have to say we all had a great time. Definitely coming back soon.
Play during Covid-19
I booked a tee time with Golfnow hot deal right after the course is available. It works well and there are few policies for us to follow. Everyone need to reserve before going even driving range (skipping one spot) There is a guy checking In first, then follow blue arrow one way only to the driving range to talk to pro shop. Then go to the first tee to check in with a guy reviewing rules.
Back to Golf
I live 10 minutes from this course and have played it many times. I had my only ace here on Hole # 8 almost 3 years ago. There are 3 Par 4’s. and some tricky par 3’s.
Being the second day of operation following their re-opening , we didn’t know what to expect but it was very organized and all the social distancing rules were observed including the unique putting green cup mechanism. Some courses are using raised cups and when your ball hits it then you pick up. There is a lever at the cup level so you putt out and then use your putter grip to raise the ball out of the cup. . My pic was too large to upload.
Great weather, great first golf day in months.
Great Course for getting off the rust
Great par 3 course with good bar and restaurant after to enjoy yourselves! Three par 4 holes offer a bit of a challenge and well-kept sand traps. No water features. Some narrow fairways near the road can be troublesome if your drive tends to hook!
Busy but still fun
Course was in decent shape under fairly wet conditions. Pace of play was a little slow but still enjoyable.
Course was good for the price
Leaves needed to be cleaned up a little bit, but otherwise, it's a good solid course
Nice lunch break without rain
Hot deal just one day in advance is great! Check weather and it shows no rain in two hours including lunch break. So just book and enjoy myself with no other groups there.
Beginner
Have only been playing for less than a year. Went with a friend that said it was a great place for beginners. He was right. Shop folks friendly. The course is wide and friendly, allows for mistakes. I found bad hits to still be playable just about wherever they landed.
Not using long clubs yet, found that I could still rrach the greens in required strokes. Getting in the cup was another story.
Had a great time. Will be back.
Best short nine
Family friendly and good value for those who can’t take the time for 18. Great for short game practice while still giving you a chance to pull out the driver. Greens are are always in good shape and pin locations are changed often.
Pruneridge golf course
Good mini course, Davits are not repaired by players resulting fairways unplayable.
An August Afternoon
I played at 1 PM so the pace of play was good. The grass was in good condition for the most part other than some dry hard spot on the course. It was hot but there are plenty of mature trees to take a break under from the heat when waiting. Only complaint is the sand traps get too much water. So it is like hitting on concrete if you are unlucky to get stuck in one.
