Great Course!
Great Course, a little windy in the afternoon but still fun and challenging. Perfect for walking since it is completely flat.

Great price, average conditions.
Can't beat the price for this course in that area for sure. Although the greens were a couple weeks post punch, the rest of the conditions were just average, lots of fairways in need of repairs, etc... Bunkers were good as well as the aprons, so kudos to the staff for that. Mainly played because this was rated top 10 military course in America, however 1- this course is not run by the military and 2- its not as good as at least 4 or 5 other military courses in California alone.

Poor conditions, snooty players
The conditions were terrible and not communicated before the round. The course was completely swamped. Almost everyone we ran into had a “holier than thou” attitude. Seems to be a large “in group” where everyone knows everyone, and if you’re not in that group you’re not welcome.

This is not a military course, it is run and owned by Google.
Nice Course
First time playing this course and I really enjoyed it. We played after recent heavy rains though, and it doesn't drain well with the bay 100' away. It was very swampy! Layout is nice although not especially challenging. Greens were in excellent condition.

Fun course, in an interesting location, it does remind me of other ex military base golf courses though. Pace of play really slow, but all in all it was a fun round. I give it a thumbs up.

One of the Bay Area's underappreciated gems
I've been searching for a second local favorite that's fun and affordable outside of my home course (Santa Teresa) and Moffett is a strong contender. I thoroughly enjoyed my first walk around it this summer. It was quirky and demanding and interesting, all at once. The conditioning was fine. The pace of play was questionable (as it is at all Bay area munis, it seems), but that's the only knock. It was tough to find the course once you get past the checkpoint to enter the NASA base, so leave some extra time just to make sure you're not late.
Maze Course
Moffett course is a deceiving layout. It looks basic, and forgiving,,until you appreciate its long par 3s, challenging bankers, and several doglegs..
Playing at Moffett, reminds me of Maze game, since it requires some course layout familiarization.

Great condition but pace of play is slow
Greens rolling excellent, entire course is in great shape. Pace of play is always pretty slow here though, lots of new golfers.
