Moffett Field Golf Club

I’ve played Moffett many times and it’s usually a good round and experience. Right now 2/19/19 - it’s in horrible shape due to the recent rains - at least 1/2 the fairways are under water - and they’ve chosen to be willfully ignorant about the conditions being unplayable. Save your $ and time for another time.

Played this morning. 0900 time. Got off on time. Starter nice guy. Played with two friends. Pace of play perfect, finished in 4 hrs.

Some of the fairways need work, grass very thin. Some completely bare spots, no grass at all. Thec T’s had been punched recently but didn’t really affect the shot. Greens were in nice shape and tricky to read, but did not break the way they were read.

Pro shop personnel polite. Grill folks polite and friendly as always. Nice weather. All around great day

Booked a time on 3/25 on golfnow and there was NO aerefieation alert!! Buyer beware

It’s been over 10 yrs since I last played here! To many problems for me to return for another round! In recent years I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. “The greens are really nice, pretty flat with a lot of subtle breaks! Fairways are getting better!” The greens have always been pretty decent!

I had to see for myself! I was amazed! Played here once in the 80’s,90’s and 2000’s! I never saw the fairways green with turf! It was yellow with weeds! The whole course was GREEN! POP was a little over 4 hours and it was a blast!

Staff was pleasant, cheerful and professional! I will definitely recommend playing here!

Even though my skills were in the tank yesterday, still a great day: The staff, especially the lady in the grill was fantastic!! Friendly, polite and customer service oriented.

After the turn, we ordered food.. instead of making us wait:: she had it done and delivered to us before we finished teeing off on 10.. where else does that happen: ?

The fairways were a little soft. The bunkers, which I managed to find a few, had some gravel lying on top of the sand.

But just a great day!!

Our 9/21 tee time was canceled because of the course's operational failure to properly shut down their discontinued third-party booking system, Quick18. As customer, we were penalized for their system error (resulting in an invalid double booking), which ruined our Sunday golf plan.

In an effort to apologize, the Head Professional of the course offered a future special 20% discount via the cancellation email.

When we returned on 9/28 to use this compensatory offer, the pro shop staff refused. The guy offered multiple, contradictory excuses (e.g., "price already discounted," then "You are a Flight-Card holder," despite us booking a public rate). The interaction concluded with the staff stating, "Whatever, I won't give you the discount."

This goes beyond a discount issue; it is a severe lapse of integrity. Receiving a formal apology and guarantee from the Head Professional, only to have it casually dismissed by front-line staff, makes the initial email feel like a deceptive gesture.

The course management's word holds zero credibility.

I’ve always liked this track. I’m not a big fan of the wind and it does blow a little out there from the bay breeze. So earlier tee times the better. Course was in decent shape, greens were amazing, a little quick but they hold good shots. It had been at least 8 years since I had played it. Very walkable course if you choose. Great bang for your buck.

My first time at this course. What a nice course. T boxes and fairways in nice shape. Some of the traps need tending to. Pace was great

Folks in the pro shop and grill outstanding.

Just overall a great day. I will be back.

The condition of the greens were pretty good. Well maintained.

The fairways, however were not quite satisfactory, which would need an improvement.

Overall still it gave me good rounding experience.

Played around 1pm on the 2nd of Jan and was able to finish the round. Course was a little muddy but overall not a bad spot for a weekday round.
