Legends Golf Club

I've played this course for years. It's a nice layout but conditions have deteriorated steadily. Seems they are doing minimal work to keep this place up. The main reason I'm posting this review now is the amount of ants now on the course. We play this weekend and my legs and hands are covered in welts from the ant colonies that are living in the fairways. Understand me, these are not mound of ants you can see. These ants are under the grass everywhere, especially the back 9 it seems. This is a health hazard. Management should immediately address it.

This course is very challenging and it’s made even more challenging with the poor management of the course. The tee boxes are like either hitting out of rough, our bare dirt with uneven grade….the fairways are more like no fairways, and the greens have weeds and diseases killing spots of the surface making it unusable on some holes.

I really wish this course could put together a new course management together, this could be a really great place to play. The layout of the course is top notch. It’s short, but very hard to get around the course with low score especially since the greens are also pretty tough due to multiple layers and slopes.

Overall I would not come back unless the conditions improved

Played a new golf course today, Legends, in Temecula.

Not a bad course, just difficult enough to remain fun, lots of water, creeks and sand, but very playable for all levels.

Let's talk about the bad reviews...yea, there are some dry areas on some of the fairways. Yes, some bunkers could use a bit of Roundup.

But overall, a pleasant experience. Good pace, friendly staff, fair price.

Having played for over 40 years, some of the best and some of the worst, this was not a bad course.

Generally this is a fun and challenging course. This time around the course was undergoing maintenance and unkept in certain areas.

Greens were very slow. Some had lots of damage. Course need to be better maintained. Staff was great.

Not sure what their plan is but this course is in terrible shape.

Love the Ted Robinson layout of the course - end of positives

The course is in very rough condition. Greens were punched about a Week ago and still are in very rough shape. Fairways are also very spotty and the rough is US Open long. Hard to find balls off the fairway. Tee boxes are mostly rough. When I played it was about 100degrees out and there wasn't a spot of drinkable water on the entire course. When we complained after the round the starter said courses couldn't have the eskimo containers out on the course due to covid. I stated I had played 3 other courses recently and all had drinking containers out on multiple holes some with bottled water at the turn. My partner suggested they stop using covid as an excuse. Not much acknowledgement of a problem.

When booking on Golfnow, it was not disclosed that the greens had just been punched and covered with sand. They apologized but there wasn’t anything we could do. They also made us play the front 9 twice.

Very disappointed. I paid for a foursome to celebrate my buddies birthday. We were not told the front nine was aerated and had to play the back nine twice. No water available on the course and it was very humid and hot (90 degrees).

Other than the early T Time Fog it was a great day of golf!

This course has such potential but the fairways were soggy due to broken irrigation lines or over watering. The lakes were literally covered in a green foamy moss, and the tee boxes and bunkers were full of weeds. They charged us 130.00 to play on a course that is being neglected and is in disrepair. What a waste of money!

Would be a great course, for a great price,

if the Superintendent would pull the weeds out of the bunkers

Makes no sense, easiest part of maintenance

Bunkers were terrible.

It took 15 minutes to get a hot dog.

Greens were ok but slow.

Love the course overall

Played the fastest round yesterday under good course conditions. There were some spots in the fairway that were drenched w water and muddy (not sure why). Greens were good, check in guy was nice, cart guys were nice. No beverage cart person on duty (11:00am tee time). Finished round in 2 hr and 25 min
