The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort
About
The King & Prince Golf Course winds through the mature forests and vast salt marshes that are located along the northern coast of St. Simon's Island. The beautifully preserved surroundings offer a glimpse of the native wildlife, which includes ospreys, woodpeckers, and bald eagles. The course offers stunning coastal scenery and a challenging layout. The layout features a more open front nine with more sand while the back nine is characterized by the golf course's trademarks, four island holes that were carved from small coastal marsh island and accessed by elevated cart bridges. Numerous marshes and the vast Butler Lake make an appearance on seven holes. Golfers can warm up before a round on the expansive putting and chipping greens or the driving range, which is equipped with five target greens.

Great Course
This was an amazing course, the staff was great! Will definitely play here again whenever I’m in St.Simons.
Front nine greens were very good, Back nine greens has some po anna that need to be eradicated. Otherwise the course is in excellent shape.
Best in the area
Do not miss this course. Best conditioned course and most spectacular layout I played on a tour through Myrtle, Hilton Head.
Best Public Golf on SSI
Imo this is the premier public golf course on SSI and in the Golden Isles.
2 courses in one
You will use every club you own. Front nine is mostly typical FL golf with decent design. Back nine is totally opposite as you move into marshland. Great value and design.
Tale of 2 Nines
Loved this course for it’s character and it’s 2 different nines.
Front tree lined with homes not on top of you. #9 best hole on the front. Dogleg par 4 back to clubhouse and winds around the lake. Back 9 crosses bridges to 4 unique holes out on the marsh. #13 is a stunning golf hole and if the wind is in to you it can be a 3 shot approach at 391 yards from the blues.
Staff are super friendly and welcoming. This and Sanctuary are my favourites in the area.
Marsh Holes aeal Treat
While the greens at K&P had been recently aerated, they were generally quite good for putting. The course layout is quite exceptional, particularly the five holes on the island out in the marsh area (which on their own are worth the price of admission).
Andy in the golf shop could have been a little friendlier. Maybe he was having a rough day.
Course was extremely pleasant to play !
Great layout!
The 4 holes on the marsh were so scenic, that I told my wife , who is a non - golfer that she should ride with me the next time I play it !
Good course, got backed up a little. Because of my age I have played several courses, I have never played on a course where players took their dogs on the course and just let them run around, I experienced seeing this Saturday 3-26. I will play this course again when passing through the area
Too slow
When we got to the 11th tee there was a six some waiting to tee off. They explained that they were two threesomes that were stuck behind a fivesome. We endured three holes over the next hour plus before packing it in. As we drove back in the 16th - 18th holes were completely open. The five some had totally clogged the course and ruined our round. its a beautiful course but has to be managed better than this.
