Ponderosa Golf Course

Pretty course, tucked away in the trees at first and then opens up. 9 hole course without much (if any) water hazards. No stunning picturesque views but a really pretty course, in very good condition and a great "feeling" course. Staff was very helpful and friendly. I look forward to playing this course again.

It was a perfect day for golf. I was put in with a friendly group of men and had a great time. The course was awesome. Narrow fairways, fast greens, and a beautiful layout. Need to be precise with your drive or you will find it hard to reach the green in two. Be careful, even if you hit a good drive your shot can bounce o/b. I did not have a good game, but I had a great time.

For the money I paid for this course, the location, condition, ambiance and mostly where it is, this has to be one of the best deals I have gotten from GN. Surely I will be looking for these deals again and plan to invite and encourage my friends to do the same.

Great for a little 9 hole course! Easy to get in 9 and do everything else for the day.

i played while on vacation to Lake Tahoe. Course was in very good shape. Beautiful scenery & very relaxing atmosphere. I play here whenever I go to Tahoe. Also shot 2 of my lowest rounds.

Lots of locals play and they know what they are doing, not a lot of waiting around, plays quickly. Only OB's are along outside boundaries, so it is forgiving. Very good condition, greens are soft and will be slow in early morning until they dry up.

We loved it! Can't wait to play again!!

We were amazed at the pristine condition of the course. It is immaculate! We didn't expect everything to be so perfect. Read a previous review from someone who hated it. (Hard to believe).

The fairways look like a green carpet, & the greens are amazing.

I will preface this with saying this was a fun course and nice and green! Unfortunately this is the worst that I have ever been treated at any golf facility, ever. I was threatened and verbally harassed by an over zealous, power hungry old man in the pro shop. No need to get into details, and not the first golfnow review that has mentioned this. I can not in good conscious recommend this course to anyone because of the complete disrespectful attitude and verbal abuse that was witnessed to not only the players in my party but to others on the course. Don't spend youre money here!

Been here twice, first time clubhouse wasn't open till 7:05 when we had a 7:00 tee time. Second time showed up at 7:02 because traffic from Reno was a little backed up and the guy at the desk gave us guff and almost didn't let us play. All of this while nobody else was there, not another soul on the golf course. I understand being on time is crucial but this was just plain rude, we would have had no problem waiting to get on if other people were there. Course is ok, but the jerks in the pro shop can really ruin what is supposed to be a relaxing morning. I would play here again but only for a minimal price.

Booked tee time through golf now and received excellent rate. First group to teeoff did not see anyone else until the green of 9th hole. Course was in excellent shape green everywhere. I will play this course whenever I come to Tahoe area.

Second time playing this course. 4 of us played the first 9 in two hours and felt like we were playing fast. We passed a single and had no one behind us. Well she. We reached the clubhouse and were getting ready to play the second 9, the manager opened his office window and yelled, "2 hours to play nine is too slow. This is a fast pace course. Your pace is unacceptable." If he would have walked out and talked to us calmly, it would not have bothered me so much. Instead he chewed us out and was flat out rude. If you are considering this course don't. Go to Old Brockway in Kings Beach. Better priced, better customer service and better course conditions.

good 9 holes course, the green is fine. however not good for 18, we booked 18 but no arrangement wa made , jammed back on the first tee and get blamed by the pro shop.....
don't play 18 here, if have time for 18 then Northstar is a much better course.

Hey, it's a nine hole course. I you expect a great course you will be disappointed. It is a nice nine holer and the people there are very friendly. I will play it again Sam.

it was the same as the back nine. If we knew this was a nine hole course we would have never played it
